I can be driving it down the road it will shut it’s self off. will not start for about 15 to 20 minutes. this happend last night and when it did i was rear ended. when it does this the breaks lock up no matter how hard u push on them they won’t budge. also it will try to start but the engine cranks at a really low speed but after awhile takes off. also if you let it warm up it runs jus fine sometimes. had it put on machine was told it was a map sensor replaced it and still got the same problem. changed battery in key fob and car battery and still doing the same thing. seen numerous people on here having the same issue. after replacing all that took to put back on a machine and was told i can’t help you cause it’s not throwing any codes what do i do i got a car that i still owe almost 14,000 dollars on that is unsafe to be driving. the car does this when it’s being driven can let set for hours and stays running but i can’t even make it 3 blocks without it dying and not starting back up for awhile. it’s pathetic as for the date at the bottom that says when did this happen i’ll put it like this it happens every time i try to go anywhere it should be recalled and properly fixed.

Takata recall, i own a 2015 chrysler 200s only 40k miles. sometimes when i'm driving it pops up warnings for my transmission then vegans driving horrible. i hit the gas it stalls, dies, it is very dangerous. then next day back to normal.
Car would not start smelled like it has a electrical short. i went into the store to pick up so item when i can back i pressed the start engine button but the car would not start. someone came and gave me jumpstart but there was not a problem with the battery then someone came to tow but was not able to because they couldn't get the car to go into neutral . tow truck driver said that the rain may have cause an electrical short.

Driving my 2015 chrysler 200s and i'm hearing squeaky noise whenever i go over a bump in the road. took my car to the shop and was told that i need a lot of front end work done, and that my lower control arms were bad as well as my struts. to add more insult there are no struts on the market for this car. this car is only 3 years old......
For the last 2 weeks my car will turn off while driving and direct me to shift to park. i do not have any warning lights on at this time. i does not matter if i am turning, driving straight, slowing down or at a stop sign.

A/c died in 2018; i decided to wait to repair because i thought the vehicle needed freon. after taking the vehicle to the dealership the compressor needs to be replaced. the extended warranty expired. since the car is computerized i have to pay for updates and electrical issues. now the seat belt light is on due to two bad harness under the seat. an update was allegedly repaired of the car jumping, the car stills jumps. the vehicle is slowly deteriorating at my expense. chrysler has stated they will not help me. this vehicle needs to be recalled immediately.
Since 08/18/18, the vehicle stalls while in motion and becomes difficult to restart. this has become a daily occurrence and makes the vehicle unsafew to drive as it does stall with the vehicle in motion and occurs without any warning sign.

After turning my car on, i put the car in reverse to back out of the driveway, and after backing up and putting the car into drive, the car stalled. another time, i came to a stop sign and while tryig to accellerate, the car stalled. it has stalled at stop lights, stop signs, and there have only been a battery light come on the dashboard after the car is stalled and in electrical mode. there is no warning or indication anything is wrong then the car will die and will be unable to restart for a few mimutes. i had the alternator and spark plugs replaced yesterday, and i got about 100 feet from my house and stalled at a stop sign this morning. this primarily comes when i accellerate from a stop, or slow speed.
A transmission warning light, service electrical throttle, air bag warning lights came on my 2015 chrysler 200 purchased from enterprise cat sales in may of 2016..the vehicle began hesitating while driving as if i was shifting in neutral.i took my car to three rivers chrylser dealer west liberty avenue in pittsburgh in february of 2018. i also asked to have my brakes done.i was asked to purchase a new upgraded vehicle which i declined.i took my car back several times between three dealeaships between march and june because it was in worse condition than when i gave it to them.smoke coming out of the tail pipe, sounded like a mack truck, stalled, coolent leaking. i had it towed three times.they would not give me a loaner car and were not helpful in anyway. i returned it to another dealership this week now june. the electrical throttle light came on again, engine warning lights coming on and i was told the car was unsafe. i believe this car was recalled and the recall repairs were not done on this vehicle. i contacted the warranty company that had my extended warranty. my car was under warranty when i brought it in february. according to an email, the dealership submitted the services "supposedly" completed in february to them in march and april after the warranty had expired. i believe they purposely did not complete the work in february in order for my warranty to expire and i have to pay them out of pocket. now i have a car payment and no vehicle. jim shorkey north huntingdon chrysler dealership is stating the car is unsafe. i have only been given the run around from chrysler customer care and the dealership/

While driving the car, the car begins to make ding sound,then slows down and shuts off and says "shifts to park" causing the car to slow all the way down and cut off. when putting the car in park, and restarting the car, it begins to make the cughh cuggghhh sound and takes a aminute to two before it comes back on. this is not the first time as i have taken it to carmax for them to say its nothing wrong. this is the 3rd time this has happened and i just bought the car in deember 2017

My chrysler 200 year 2015 and while driving it on the freeway it will mot get the speed up. the mist it goes is about 60 miles per hour and this is when im already on the freeway. when entering the freeway it goes in very slowly i push gas pedal and it won't go past 40 miles per hour. also at any time while driving it, it starts pulling itself like if it wants to turn off while driving. i feel this us very dangerous for me and my family. i have changed spark plugs and coils and it continues to nit function correctly.

At approximately 1002 hours the driver pulled off of the ramp from hwy 41 turning right onto hwy 60 west. while on the ramp of hwy 41 the vehicle appeared to be exerting black smoke from what appeared to be under the hood of the vehicle. driver pulled over immediately after seeing black smoke. driver then turned off the vehicle and exited. driver then called msg urban (rrb ncoic) to inform her that the vehicle was smoking. after exiting and walking away from the vehicle at approximately 1005 hours driver observed the vehicle start on fire and proceeded to call 911. at approximately 1008 hours a slinger police officer arrived at the scene, along with a washington county sheriff and the slinger fire department. driver was traveling at a speed of 8 or below due to pulling off to the side of the highway. this incident occurred in daylight, weather conditions were sunny and fair.
My car has been working great. it us up to date on maintenance,as of yesterday it took a while to turn on in the morning. around 4:54pm on 5/22/18 the car did not want to start. 5/23/18 at 8:00am it turned on but took a while agaig. so i turned it off and turned it back on but this time the engine light,parking light, and gear didnt want to switch shift.

I had just left my house and was driving 25 mph when my chrysler 200 cut off. the screen read, shift to park to start. i shifted into park and tried to restart the car but it didnt start. then i waited about 30 seconds and tried to start it again and it started. this was the second time i had this problem. everytime the car shut off, it was after driving only a few minutes at 25 mph. i almost got hit by another car both times and it was pretty scary because i often drive with my three yr old. the car is a lemon and chrysler should give everybody their money back or most of it. chrysler is playing with peoples lives and recalling it doesnt solve the problem.

After shifting into reverse or drive, the car will not move, then suddenly slams into gear and lunges abruptly. this has happened several times and it is frightening when in traffic. also, after shifting into reverse or drive and beginning to move, the car suddenly jolts to a stop and feels like it's digging in, and will not move. it then indicates the parking brake has been engaged when i never touched the parking brake. this has also happened numerous times and is also frightening when merging into traffic. when the brake suddenly engages, all on it's own accord, it is difficult to get it to release.

When i first pull out the car doesn't change gears it acts like it isn't getting fuel or something then it changes gears but so hard it kind of jerks the car. after it pucks up speed there is no problem just when you first pull out.
Brakes, front wheel bar or something, thermostat, bought the car in august 2017. haven't driven it very much at all. now all these problems and i paid a great deal for this car . the transmission also acts funny at times. not wanted to shift or shifts hard. the car was on the highway when the thermostat went out. everything dropped on the screen and red thermostat came on and red letters about something hot stabilizer, throttle body, something.
The makes a rattling noise when it start for some reason , i don't know if it normal and while i'm driving and trying to accelerate it makes that noise to. it makes the noise every day .
On 9/16/18, vehicle died and would not start. after several attempts, it started, then while driving down the road, vehicle lost all electrical power and came to a stop in the middle of traffic. car was towed to dealer where they trouble shooted for several days trying to reproduce the electrical power failure. they found a services bulletin about electrical connection and replaced wiring harness. over the next several months i noticed my vehicle felt like the transmission was slipping. as time went on, i realized it wasn't a slipping, but a hard shift. the vehicle would also loose power upon acceleration to merge into traffic or changing lanes. this was very scary, but at times it seemed as if the vehicle might lose complete power and die while in heavy highway speed traffic. on 10/11/2018 while having my vehicle oil changed, i asked the technician to drive the vehicle to confirm what i was feeling with the transmission. the technician agreed that the transmission was in fact not shifting or functioning properly. i obtained a quote to have the transmission serviced. the technician advised have the transmission flushed/serviced might help, but often times flushing can cause symptoms to worsen. i opted to not have the transmission flushed/serviced at that time and planned to take my vehicle into the dealer after the holidays. it is now the the 3rd week in december and just this week the hard shifting and loss of power when the vehicle downshifts to merge into highway speed traffic has worsened significantly. i phoned the chrysler dealer today and spoke with my service advisor to schedule an appt. i am to call back on wednesday 12/26 to reserve a courtesy vehicle and schedule appt. to drop my vehicle off on 12/27/2018
Driving to work and all of a sudden i got two alerts on my dashboard signaling engine temperature hot and to service electric throttle control. the cars performance after these alerts was poor and it was very loud. it was struggling to get past 40mph. took it to a shop and found my thermostat, the housing, and sensor needed replacing. also found out the memory of the controller needed to go back to a dealer to be erased and re programmed which is not my fault.
Have had vehicle approx 1 yr. while driving 45mph on city street check engine came on with engine overheat msg and engine cooling sensor as well. replaced sensor and while driving the next day on highway at 70 mph to see if the system readjusts itself to the new sensor message came on again with added service elecrtrical throttle control msg and check engine lights again. i was near oreill and it produced codes for thermostat, cooling sensor, system performance, etc. messages are not on screen now but check engine lights still on. i believe it triggers when cooling temp reaches appx, 189 f. after doing some research many others are experiencing these issues and seems the problem escalates to much worse such as shutting off while driving. no recalls thus far but many people anticipating someone needing to die before something is done. i drive with my children almost all of the time and am very concerned.

As i was driving the car stalled 6 times, its not a standard which is unusual. the only explanation the garage gave me was that its low on oil. which makes no sense to me, i've researched it and alot of people at having similar issues. when the car stalled i lost control of the steering and the brakes. luckily no one was in front of me. i stayed there in the middle of an intersection with a cop directing traffics around my car,until i could get it to start back up. when it started back up it ran good for about 10 minutes then it stalled again and i had it towed.
While utilizing the uconnect 8.4 nav onboard navigation system driving on 1-94 toward chicago, the gps system started giving wrong directions and shortly thereafter lost lock on where the vehicle was and the direction it was heading. at one point, the system told me to turn right at the exit and there was no exit. fortunately, i was in daylight conditions and knew the directions to be in error. had this not been the case, i.e driving at night in poor visibility and unfamiliar with the route, the results could have been far worse.
Since time of purchase this vehicle consumers far too much oil has cost the engine check engine light to be permanently on and cannot be turned off without replacing engine
