The engine keeps stalling while driving without warning. it is unable to restart for about 30 minutes, then will start up normally as if nothing has happened. i have taken it to chrysler service several times to be told that nothing shows up on the diagnostic and they cannot determine the issue to this very dangerous problem. the problem happens while the car is in motion and can happen anytime regardless of speed, location, or what the car is doing. it happens repeatedly, approximately every 3 weeks.

The turn signal started working on its own and the wipers started working on there own then they just quit working.

Windshield washer pump has no power at pump. transmission shifts irradically on roads. interior lights no power. have been told be auto computer repair service that tipm is going out.

The electrical system keeps draining the battery which makes the car stall in the middle of operation. this has happened on the roadway and is a major safety issue.

While driving the car on the highway, the car dies and has to be jumped. the jump only makes it a short distance before shutting of again. all the lights come on ,on the dash and shut the car off

This is the second time in 2 years that i had to replace the alternator and battery on this car. i also had to replace fuses on this car. all the hazard lights came on battery light, hazard lights, all the lights in dashboard came on. care accelerated slowly until it turned off. couldn't drive

No check engine light, pressing on brake pedal while at a stop sign or red light, automobile stalls. put it in park and restart, rpm range varies. use brakes too much rpm increases need to stop vehicle and restart to get better rpm and dashboard blinks for the mileage

My car keeps going dead for no reason, then starts up after five minutes.

Adjusted the electrical mirror then shortly after adjustment smoke started to roll out from under the buttons of the window controllers and melted them slightly (driver and passenger front window buttons) the vehicle was in motion and then stationary due to we had to exit the vehicle due to be overcome with smoke. we were turning off a highway to a residential street. we then was able to get back into the car when there was little smoke and continue 1/2 mile to the home were staying at. window's will not roll up or down now. due to the smoke, i am afraid to drive my vehicle back to michigan from wisconsin in a week. also, the front passenger seat belt does not lock onto the restraint lock. why did it not blow a fuse before it started smoking?

Takata recall last time i was driving on the freeway going 70 miles per hour and the vehicle suddenly lost power with a semi truck right behind me and i had to swerve off of the road to avoid being hit and nearly causing an accident i do not feel safe in this vehicle and i'm in fear for my life

My chrysler 200 2013 touring stalled on me while coming to a stop at a stop sign i was stuck in a intersection for almost an hour and had to direct traffic around me so i wouldn't get hit. this is not the first time this has happened. this is the 5th time my car has stalled on me and i've only had it for 2 months, stalled twice on busy intersections i could have died. it stalled on me while i was going 55 mph and the lanes were so tight i almost couldn't get to the side of the road without getting hit and when i finally did the lanes were so close that i couldn't park on the side of the road for safety without being terrified someone going to come down the hill and not see me and hit me. also i was just doing a beach cruise one time and it stalled on me i had to park and wait like a hour and 30 minutes for help. another time i was doing a right turn onto my house and the engine just shut off so i had to make a wide right turn with barely any steering power could've been a major accident. the car just loses it power and shuts off without any warning. i've gotten a diagnostics and nothing showed wrong with the car, but there is something wrong. i've seen many of the same problems people are having online and the problem is not getting fixed at all. i'm seeing people replace fuel pumps, starters, batteries, alternators and no fix for the stalling just wasting money. thousands of people online on sites are struggling with this car. people cars are stalling on them and are almost getting them killed. chrysler is not doing anything to help these people, no recalls on the car and people are taking their cars to the dealership and wasting money because the problem still occurs even after the dealership. really sad there needs to be something done with these cars my life is in danger and i'm only 19 years. the chrysler 200 needs to be recalled very dangerous car

Approximately 2 months after purchasing my 2013 chrysler 200 ltd (6-cyl.; mileage approx. 79k), the car began randomly losing power and stalling out while i was driving. when this occurred, i only had a few seconds to slowly coast to the side of the road to get off the highway. the car would not restart, and i had to call a wrecker. this has now happened 5 times. all of my trips were local when the engine stalls occurred, and each stall came without any warning while i was simply cruising down a highway or a city street, and not traveling up or down any significant slopes. when the car engine died, the dashboard indicators all illuminated while the engine was dying. i have had chrysler service respond to the scene immediately to get diagnostics, and the car is not throwing out any diagnostic codes. when the engine dies, it can be restarted after the car sits for awhile... maybe a few hours. the pcm (computer) was replaced and all software patches have been installed, but that didn't fix the problem. the car has been in the chrysler dealership repair shop over a month now, while they wait hopefully for a technical wizard to impart exploratory repair magic over their star network. i sure would like to have my car back....working. i was fortunate to have been able to get my car off the road on the occasions that it died. i could have been in a very dangerous situation otherwise. it is noted that nhtsa closed their investigation of this problem with the chrysler 200, shortly after a software patch was released in sept. 2012.

Takata recall the wiper connector under the hood broke. i have had the car for 5 years brand new and ever other year something is breaking on this car. why? my wiper sprayer does not work. i am disappointed by the money i have spent in paying the car note and replacing parts. in june of 2018 i had to replace the alternator...i work so hard to purchase a car that i can depend on for transportation for me and my children's safety, did i pick the wrong company for that. thanks [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

There have been multiple times that i've been driving w and the steering wheel locks and the car shuts off. i have to come to a complete stop put it in park and restart it. i've been lucky i haven't been rear ended ,

My car is making a ticking noise every time i hit my alarm or drive it. if comes tom my attention my ajuactor door is getting stuck and making this noise.

I am always having electrical problems. the lights don't want to turn on. the air conditioner does not want to switch on. the fans don't want to turn on. it's always something with the electrical. the car will be in different motions and so this sometimes when i go to start it or sometimes when i am driving. it can end up being dangerous what if the electrical goes out while i am driving

My vehicle will cut off/stall while driving, losing speed control. this has happened more than i can count. on residential street, main highways, and freeways while doing speeds up to 70mph. if i am able to pull over to safety i would attempt to start the vehicle and it would crank but wouldn't turn over. after 2hrs the vehicle would start. i've taken it into several dealerships to be diagnosed and they wouldn't be able to duplicate the issue. the dealership hooked up a tracker and said it was one thing and fixed it and the problem is still happening. first incident was mothers day may 2017

The battery light came on the car started stalling i got a jump off it ran for a second and started stalling again i jumped it off again i took the negative off and left the positive on in the car die to me that is the alternator

The windshield wipers randomly cut on while driving on days that there is no rain or water present. the air conditioner also changes it settings when it is not on "auto" and my cruise control will only work about 30% of the time. it will not set to the speed i have selected.

Engine stopped while waiting at red light and would not start back up. all lights radio ect.. were working. car had gas. got a hotshot, car started back up. the next day go to start car and it wouldn't start. 2days work missed. upset$?!!

Wipers won't shut off, electrical failure

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 chrysler 200. the contact stated that the air conditioner blower malfunctioned and the front windshield could not be defrosted or cleared when driving in the rain. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the cause of the failure was due to a faulty tipm that needed to be replaced. the local dealer was not contacted. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. the failure mileage was 87,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 chrysler 200. while driving various speeds, the headlights and instrument panel indicators flickered and the seat belt, stabilitrac, and check engine warning indicators illuminated intermittently. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 16,000.

Something electrical is draining my battery. when i drive, the check engine light comes on, the abs, traction, and brake light comes on while driving. when i'm idle nothing happens. when i'm on the highway it jerks and stalls a bit. i have to accelerate a lot to keep it going. i've had the battery replace 2 times in the past 3 months - brand new. it keep draining my battery. the alternator was fine. i took it to the dealership they told me they can't read it if the lights are not on. but it only comes on when i'm driving. the lights in the car, headlights, and radio all go out while i'm driving then back on. the headlights flicker. i'm about to need to have the battery replaced now a third time with no help from the dealership. my engine light is still on and and it drives rough and i smell gas when i'm driving. i just bought this car in august and i've had more issues with it than any other vehicle i've ever owned. i've only received 1 recall for the vehicle, i believe it should be thoroughly checked because it's too many issues for a car that's only 4 years old.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 chrysler 200. while driving 60 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. the contact was able to restart the vehicle. the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure or produce a fault code. after leaving the dealer, the failure recurred four times. the manufacturer was notified of the failures. the approximate failure mileage was 54,000.

Head rest deployed while driving on city strret, the engine also shut down while makeing a left hand turn and will not start back up this has caused every sensor light to come on as well. prior to this incident, my that my automatic start and locks were not working and the headlights were really dim. i took it to autozone where it was assessed and they determined it was not the battery.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 chrysler 200. while driving approximately 45 mph the vehicle shook violently and different warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. the vehicle immediately decelerated and was coasted to the side of the road. the dealer diagnosed and replaced the electronic throttle control. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no recall. the failure mileage was 77,000. updated 04/12/17 lj *cn

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 chrysler 200. while driving approximately 20 mph and making a right or left turn, the power steering became difficult to maneuver. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the power steering failed and needed to be repaired. the vehicle was not repaired. in addition, while driving 50 mph, the vehicle decelerated and stalled. the contact was able to coast into a parking lot. the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the alternator failed, which caused the battery to fail. both the alternator and battery needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. the approximate failure mileage was 72,000.

While driving at a rate of 50 mph, the hazard lights came on without touching the control to turn it on. when i touched the control, the lights would go off for a few seconds and return flashing. this continued to occur for the next 15 miles at which time, i pulled into a parking lot. when i turned the car off.. the hazard lights came on again and could not be cut off. other strange things that have occurred is the abs light coming on and then the car with traction streaks showing.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 chrysler 200. the contact stated that the windshield wipers were no longer functional and only the driver side of the vehicle emitted heat. the failure occurred without warning. the dealer diagnosed that the integrated fuse system malfunctioned and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

In june 4, 2016 i was attending 2 high school graduations. it was raining that morning so my wipers were on. i get to the center and go inside. after the 2nd graduation and speaking with family and friends i go to the parking garage to leave. i get to my car to find my wipers still going. i get in the car a try to turn the switch off. its already off. i drive home. my husband and i check for the fuse to remove. no luck. he disconnects the battery. there is a lot going on so i get it to a mechanic a week later. he tests it and the results come back as the wiper motor. we schedule the repair but finds it is not the motor. he retests the car and tells me its the totally integrated piwer module or tipm. he suggests that.i call chrysler. they tell me to go to a chrysler mechanic and call them back. i go to the nearest 2 chrysler dealers in my area. neither could help me at the time. i now have a mechanic scheduled for tomorrow. i hope to get my money back from chrysler,

I have a 2013 chrysler 200, it has roughly 70,000 miles, as i was accelerating onto the highway the vehicle would not go over 40-50 mph. i was almost rear-ended because everyone was trying to get onto the highway. i couldn't pull over because of it being over a bridge. when i went to pull over the car stalled and would not start until the 3rd or 4th try. the car is practically brand new there is no way this should be having this problem. as i am reading many of the other complaints this seems to be pretty common in this vehicle & year.

The car keeps stalling in traffic, get an engine jump then stalls. chryslers techs can't even figure it out. also stalls on freeways and is going to get someone killed. from what i see it's happening in these cars from 2012 to 2015 models everywhere. i'm very sick of going to the dealer and paying hundreds of dollars because of course it's always something not covered under warranty, how convenient. then either right away or a month later the same issue occurs and get worse and worse. this needs to be addressed immediately.

Ok.. so let me vent here. i first bought my car this year. (march) and they let me take my car for a night to see if i would like the car. they had a 2013 chrysler 200 lx 2.4cyl. or a 2014 chrysler 200 limited 3.6 v6 the 2013 had 37k the 2014 had 21k. i wanted the 2014 but when they asked about it. it was already sold... i didn't know that. so i went for the '13 lx. drove it off the lot for a test drive. drove just fine. got back to the dealer. signed a paper and left with it from the dealer for the night. well on my way home. i thought would go out of my way a little bit for a little extra drive. (keep in mind i had a full tank from the dealer) lol! something i requested. because when i test drove it. it was on e. and gas light was on. but back to the point. while going out of my way. i stopped to get pizza. and left my car running. all lights were on. i'm sitting inside waiting for my pizza. since i called it in before hand. got my pizza. come out to my car. and i stopped in my tracks. and thought. hmm. i could have swore i left my car running. like wtf. and my headlights and everything was still on! and then i thought. oh [xxx]... i got into my car. everything is on. ac (which of course wasn't cold air since engine wasn't running) and all my lights were on. and i knew as soon as i got into my car and the rpm's are on 0 and everything is still on. i sat there for a minute. in shock and disappointment. turned my key back. and turned it back and it fired right up. so i was upset but didn't think much of it. called my dealer and they told me they would take care of it. took it in and they gave me a loaner while they "fixed" it. got it back and didn't happen after that. now it just started again today. bout a month worth's of time... i'm sick of this. my car only has 45k now. and i got it with 37k... taking my car in once again. this is going to kill somebody... stay safe. ...

At approximately 41,000 miles, wiring harness to fuel pump shorts out near fuel pump end, causing electrical arcing at fuel components. entire wiring harness to fuel pump must be replaced due to damage. overload (fuse box) system failed to mitigate damage. arcing and fire could have caused further damage or explosion. vehicle was on a city street when it simply stopped working. vehicle is currently at putnam chrysler in burlingame, ca, where it was diagnosed with the defect. documentation in possession of the dealer.

My car just had the etc light and electronic stability light come on and the car loses horsepower. from my research online this seems to be a common issue with them.

I was proceeding to get on the interstate highway when i noticed that i was pressing the gas, but the car was not accelerating. i looked down and two lights were on, the stability control light and the throttle body light. i just purchased this car on 9/9/2015 used. another time before that, i was driving home from work and my radio powers off and where my mileage is it says no fuse. when i got home i tried to lock my car with the keypad, but i couldn't. i had to lock it manually. i mean i have had more problems with this car since i had it.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 chrysler 200. while driving approximately 60 mph, the vehicle slowed down to 10 mph and the engine stalled. the check engine warning indicator illuminated. the failure recurred several times. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the pcm map sensor needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 46,298.

When driving vehicle on highway are crowded high traffic roads the vehicle would suddenly makes a sudden jerk the check engine light comes on traction control lights comes on it losses power i could be going 50 mph and the vehicle drops to 10 mph and won't go faster than 30 mph i would try to push it up to 50 but it still feel like it's going 30 mph, the vehicle is now currently in the shop the can't seem to figured out what's wrong with it i'm still making payments on the vehicle they won't give me a rental without diagnostic so i am out of a vehicle to get me to work and take my kids to school as a single mom please help me i call the place i brought the vehicle from but they won't help it's a nightmare so inconvenience....
