Tl* the contact owns a 2012 chrysler 200. while driving, the seat belt warning indicator illuminated. the vehicle was taken to the local dealer (bill luke chrysler jeep dodge and ram located at 2425 w camelback rd phoenix, az 85015) where it was diagnosed that the seat belt module needed to be repaired. the manufacturer was made of the failure and placed the contact on the fast track system where they would reach out to him when the remedy was available. the contact paid for the repair and requested reimbursement. the failure mileage was 50,000.

I got into a car accident in may of 2016. my air bags did not deploy, as they should have given the speed i was going. i also was not notified of this recall until later that year. i have called and checked online to see when the parts would be in to have the recall issue solved and i have been told they do not have an eta and the parts aren't available.
I've been notified for sometime now about a recall for my car. nothing has been corrected yet in reference to the airbag and seat belt -constraint controls. what happens if i have an accident with these features still not corrected?
Original owner since 6.28.12 mileage currently 41,145 as of 12.21.15. seat belt front, driver's side slackened and no longer restrains driver. belt will not "lock" when vehicle is in gear. also does not retract any longer, thus making it non-functional. dealer says it will not repair this safety issue, since it was purchased 41 months ago and has 5,100 miles beyond standard warranty. as required safety equipment, and research on internet states, it seems this should be covered for ten years, 100k miles.

Soon after i purchased my 2012 chrysler 200 s the rear safety belts began locking for no apparent reason. the lock was so harsh that the belt would have to be removed and reapplied. the restraint has continuously locked causing the passenger to be pinned to his or her seat. this has happened almost every time there is a passenger in the rear restraint no matter the speed the vehicle is traveling. *tr
Driving and interior lights dim down and get real bright spontaneously. also my seat belt light and chime don't work all the time?? trans already slips when leaving town at a medium acceleration? only 75000 miles on the car.
I was driving straight forward, in the right lane of a four lane highway (two lanes in either direction). a car traveling in the opposite direction, lost control and crossed the highway, striking my car's front end. my car received extensive front end damage. the car was totaled, as was the other car. i was driving and my wife was in the front passenger seat. we were both wearing our seat belts. at the time of the impact, neither airbag deployed, nor did the seat belt pretensioners activate (locking the seat belts in place), causing serious injury to both of us, requiring hospital admittance in the intensive care unit, for myself. police traffic crash report, photos and other documents are available if required, in the future. also, i just received a re-call notice, dated october 1, 2016. nhtsa 16v-668, concerning the car i was driving at the time of the crash...updated 01/04/17 *bf *tr *po - inj but not death as indicated updated 7/25/18*jb *tr *dt *jb
Tl* the contact owns a 2012 chrysler 200. the contact stated that while driving 20 mph, the steering wheel became difficult to turn. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection where they stated that there was no power steering fluid in the vehicle. the vehicle was replenished with power steering fluid but the failure recurred. the also contact stated that the power steering hose exploded and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was not notified. the failure mileage was 6,047. the consumer stated there were numerous problems with the vehicle, such as a coolant leak, oil leak, air condition, the cd player did not work, the power steering hose burst, the wire harness, the transmission was replaced, the engine was noisy and the seat belt on the passenger side was not properly installed. the vehicle cut off several times. updated 10/31/13

2012 chrysler 200 . consumer writes in regards to a defective passenger seat belt. *smd the consumer stated she un-buckled the seat belt, the buckle itself came back and hit her on the right elbow, causing extreme pain. that pain followed up her arm causing numbness and tingling in her last two fingers on her right hand. after a follow-up with an orthopedic surgeon, it was determined the consumer had cubital tunnel syndrome caused by an ulnar nerve entrapment from the seat belt buckle hitting her right elbow. the consumer stated surgery was needed to relieve the pressure on the ulnar nerve.
Took car in to dealership years ago to have head rest and airbags fixed. received a notice by inputting my vin that these fixes were incomplete . also discovered that the 3.6 pentastar engine from the factory had substandard engine bearings which could result in the engine seizure and the remedy was for the factory to replace the engine. my 2012 chrysler 200 was manufactured during this time frame, yet was never notified by the manufacturer of this dangerous condition.
