We have classified the 16 complaints from 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer about VISIBILITY into the following categories.
Our windshield wipers were inoperable. the wiper switch was turned on with absolutely no response from the wipers. the dealership has replaced it. however, other electrical problems keep occurring. for example, our air conditioning switch malfunctioned, the onstar did not send tracking information properly, the alternator needed to be replaced, and the fan for the heater would not work at any speed except low. we have only had this vehicle since august. i am thinking that this in an electrical problem instead of each individual piece being faulty. please let us know if you are hearing more of the same types of information. *la
Since i bought this vehicle august 30, 2002 i have had to bring it back to the dealership on numerous occasions for several different items. i have had both the left and right brake lights gone out, the driver side head lamp went out, the air conditioner has gone out twice(four months apart), the driver side passenger window is inoperable(we have tried to get it fixed for almost a month now with no success) and the engine cooling fan was warped and the fan clutch malfunctioned. at this point we don't understand why they haven't just recalled the whole vehicle. luckily we have the 36,000 mile warranty still in affect but what's going to happen when it is up and the same problems keep recurring? *la
Owned 03 trailblazer for 4 months and has given me electrical & mechanical problems. i had one problem since i first bought this vehicle and now i have 13 things that are a danger to me and my family. ac turns on by itself whether car is off or on. ac has turned on while i was driving frightening the hell out of me causing me to almost lose control of the wheel. ac ,engine lacks horse power, hand brake, hazard lights, lights turn off, mirrors move by themselves, car boggs as if it wants to turn off, while driving steering wheel moves by itself, gas gauge has read low fuel when gas is full. i am terrified the car will give out with my child and i in it.i have tried to have vehicle repaired numerous times and still dealer can't seem to duplicate the problem. the vehicle is a hazard to me and my family and to all those who own one. need the problem to be fixed before any tragedies occur. *ak
When using the remote control to lock or unlock the vehicle the mirrors moved and it changed the position of the mirrors. consumer drove the vehicle and noticed the mirrors were facing the ground or the sky. vehicle were taken to the dealer, and nothing was done to correct the problem.*ak
I have had my 03 trailblazer at the dealership 3 times for the outside mirrors. i have disabled curb-view assist and the mirrors still cannot remember their settings. normally i can set the mirrors, get out of the car and turn it off for a few minutes, like at the gas station, and then get in and have to re-set them again. it does not matter if it is driver 1 or driver 2, the settings do not stay. sometimes i get in, start the car and the mirror adjusts so i can see my elbow and the side of the trailblazer. other times i get in and cannot see any part of the trailblazer in the mirror. i have been told, by the deleaship, that this is an issue that chevrolet is aware of and there is not a solution yet, but chevrolet is working on one. they will let me know when there is a fix. does this sound like good business and excellent customer service to you?
Driver's side mirror doesn't adjust enough to see oncoming traffic, and caused a blind spot. the dealer was notified. *ak *scc *jb
Windshield wipers stopped working in middle of downpour!!!!!!!!!!!! *nlm
Curb view assist. after properly setting both outside mirrors to my desired placement for curb view assist in reverse, the mirrors will "forget" their proper placement. it takes approx 10 -15 times into reverse for them to eventually not even move, although the curb view assist is being displayed in the driver information center. dealer had vehicle in for service on may 5 03 and was to check this problem. dealer advised "could not duplicate working per gm specifications. *nlm
Curb view assist, mirrors after being properly set to the curb view position while in reverse will from time to time stay in the "curb view" setting after vehicle is placed into drive or park. the only way i have found to get them to come back into driving position is to move them using the mirror controller or to turn the vehicle off and then restart vehicle. *nlm
2003 chevrolet trailblazer plagued with defects. (nar) *ph transmission, air conditioner, suspension, and rear windshield not working properly. *cb
2003 chevrolet trailblazer lx. consumer states problem with rear window and replacement *tgw the consumer stated the rear window was replaced four times. the consumer stated he is driving around without a rear window, because he doesn't have the funds to replace it and chevrolet corporate refused to cover the replacement cost. in march 2003, the cowling above the rear window became displaced of its own accord and a short time later, the back window shattered upon it being opened. roughly, three and half years later, the window once again spontaneously shattered. there were no cracks in the window, and there was no apparent impact to the window. the consumer stated he merely opened it, and it shattered. the dealer replaced the window again, but at the consumer's expense, as the warranty had expired. in january 2011, the window once again spontaneously shattered upon it being opened. the dealer informed the consumer, he would be charged full price to replace the window. *jb
My 11-month old 2003 chevrolet trailblazer has had multiple quality problems, twice affecting my safety. most of the problems have been electrical in nature. the 4wd has become inoperable numerous times, once while driving in snow. in another incident during a severe thunderstorm at night the air conditioner (a/c) failed and i was unable to defrost my windshield in order to see. after one dealer failed to diagnose the 4wd problem, another dealer replaced my ignition switch because the technician said i had no power at all going to the "rear grid." i continue to have intermittent electrical problems, including near stalling at a traffic light, and ongoing 4wd failures. the car also has very jerky motion when in 4wd reverse, of course, when the 4wd is working at all. the dealer told me that was normal and now i see there is a service bulletin on the problem. *la
