Where should i start? purchased 03 trailblazer in 2/08 w/only 60,000 miles. has been in shop 3 months..lost count of costs. a/c and heat not working properly..no hot air; clutch fan replaced; transmission slipping; engine cuts off while at stop-light. should i go on? you would think w/only 60,000 miles on it--it was just getting broken in. i have never been so disappointed in a truck before..now i am stuck with the truck and its payment...no more money to repair and can't afford to trade in. *tr

About two years ago while i was trying to close the glass rear hatch on my 2003 chevrolet trailblazer it exploded in my face. i was cut on my hands, face, and got glass in my eyes. i went directly to the dealer (arrow chevrolet, now called sunrise chevrolet, in midlothian il.) the service dept. looked at the damage and said they never saw anything like that, (i found out later that it is common) they sent the vehicle out to a "window repair shop" to have the glass replaced. when i got the car back, i noticed that the window was not aligned properly; the service dept. looked at it quickly and told me that it was fine. three weeks ago while driving down the interstate at 70 mph a loud vibration came from the glass window hatch, as i slowed down the high mount rear stop tail lamp assembly, which is a large fiberglass body piece as wide as the car and 3 feet across flew off my car striking a car in back of me. i pulled over and so did the other driver, the other driver was very shaken as so was i. slight damage to the hood and the bumper of the other car and he said that it was ok since the car was old. my car now is missing a large piece of the body and the third brake light. it was run over by a truck... the window company that replaced the rear hatch window did not affix the panel properly to the window; i have seen may complaints on other web site that the factory install and the double face tape that is used malfunctions all the time, please help me, we are dealing with two issues here, the rear window exploding and injuring me and the faulty double faced tape that is used to secure outside parts to the car. in addition, the illinois state police stopped and told me that they could have given me a ticket for driving an unsafe vehicle but they gave me a pass and told me to write to you and send them a copy of my letter. *tr

Multiple problems with this vehicle with only 40,000 miles on it! power window assembly broke and repaired twice on the same door, inoperable climate control unit, front dashboard gets extremely hot at all times, brakes squeal all the time (dealer could not figure it out and was remedied with ceramic brake pads after multiple attempts), transmission has poor shifting pattern (bulletin provided a new shift program for the transmission and the dealer installed but is right back to it's original problem after 3 months). *jb

Vehicle when placed in four wheel drive, does not engage front wheels and in fact does remain in only two-wheel drive. this creates a dangerous situation because on snowy roads particularly in rural areas, for example, the vehicle can become unsafe to drive. *jb

My vehicle was taken in the crain on several occasions for the transmission, leading up to this incident. i took the vehicle in to crain on september 26, and was told that the transmission was completely gone. of course, they quoted me a price of $2,000.00 which i feel that i shouldn't be out of pocket for anything because i repeatedly took the vehicle in because the transmission wasn't shifting proper. of course, they sent me on my way and stated that there wasn't a mechanical problem with the transmission. the service advisor pulled all of my service tickets that showed that the vehicle was brought in for the transmission....they then agreed to split the amount with me; however, i feel as though i shouldn't have to split the cost because i made several trips to crain's service department prior to this last visit to the service department. *nm

Drivers seat will move to the "exit posistion" while driving. the last time this happened the driver was pulled away from the brake pedal while making a right hand turn and drove off the road. the vehicle has been taken to the dealership several time for repair with no luck.

I have a had to replace my driver side frontal air bag twice already this is going on my third time in the last year. using different companies. there is a problem with the wiring and the connector in the horn of the steering wheel, and it will not stay connected. i have called chevy several times to see if there is or was a recall and i have been told no more then once. *jb

Dt: left driver's side outside mirror is not holding the correct settings, and clicks constantly. the mirror is hitting against something, and turns completely to the ground. when using keyless entry the mirrors also turn to the ground. the mirror is changing by itself, and it is not going back to the correct setting. the mirror is always making a clicking noise and it is facing downward. there is no problem with the right side. the dealer replaced the right side mirror, and from then on the left side has not worked. consumer has taken vehicle to dealership 4 or 5 times to be checked. dealership insists the mirror is working fine. but as soon as the consumer leaves the dealership the mirror will work for a couple of hours and then stop working properly. consumer took the vehicle to the dealership and the mechanic didn't write down the problem with the mirror in his paperwork, and this happened more than once. *ak when shifting from park to reverse the vehicle jerked at times. the engine control module was reprogrammed. the consumer believes that the reprogramming resulted in poor fuel economy. the cd player made a hissing noise. when the brakes were applied they would grind. the 4-wheel drive switch shorted. windshield wiper motor failed. right side tag light bulb blew. *nm
