We have classified the 2 complaints from 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT about EQUIPMENT into the following categories.
Have been having major trouble with the front end. had it checked multiple times at the dealer and at a local mechanics shop and the ball joints and bushings had to be replaced. even the the warranty was finished, the dealer did not charge me for this, but unfortunately i thought that this would take care of the noise on the front end, but it is still there!! also yesterday, april 24, 2007, i had to have the fan clutch replaced. this vehicle only has 35,000 miles. i have also had the service engine soon light come on and stay on several times and after reading other complaints, i should check out the gas tank for any cracks. this is my first and last gm product!!!! it spends more time being fixed then on the road. i have also had trouble with the rear tail light burning out, but that has since been fixed! *tr
The right mirror, when switching from driver 2 to driver 1, keeps clicking. this is the second time that this happened. first time it was fixed, it was may 24, 2004. *ak
2002 chevy trail blazer ext on 3/3/07 - while driving truck on highway the truck stopped running. restarted truck and pulled over to side of road. truck stopped running again. my husband noticed the oil pressure gauge which indicated no oil pressure. truck was then taken to repair shop. our mechanic stated that it need a new oil pump, which is located in the engine- this was too big a job for his station. my husband called general motors, spoke to their representative, who stated that the vehicle was no longer under warranty and in order for them to do cost sharing with us the vehicle would need to be taken to a gm authorized repair dealer. after numerous attempts to contact that same rep - we were informed by the chevy dealer that we needed to pay for the diagnostics(635.00) or they would charge us storage fees. still no contact from gm rep - our truck is still not fixed and still have not been able to get response from gm - other issues with this same truck have been at our expense: replaced rear window motors for window, air conditioning compressor, rear tail lights (twice) due to recall and lights not working - seat adjustment switches panel (twice) now this expense which will cost over 4372.00 if no other damage was done to truck by oil pressure not working. *jb
Check engine light came on my 2002 chevrolet trailblazer (86,000 miles). team chevrolet analyzed and advised the gas tank is cracked. this same problem occurred at 12,000 miles but was repaired for free as vehicle was under warranty and there was an alert issued for this problem. however, the alert "policy" ran out at 70,000 miles so the dealership, nor gm will cover the estimated expenses of $850. i protested that this was a known and repeated problem and a fire/safety issue but they are not willing to assist in any way. *jb
Vechile transmissin failure.*ak
