When you engage the rear auto lift gate (ltz) the door goes 3/4 the way up and then begins to close on you literally traping you between the door and the rear opening. at first it would happen ever so often, now i must push the button again to stop the door from closing. this is a danger especially to children.

My impeccably maintained suv has multiple cracks in the dash that i believe if the air bags deploy will cash serious bodily harm. i am continually finding pieces on the dash on my floorboard near the gas pedals on the drivers side and far forward on the passenger side. and recently with the cracks getting worse i have noticed the broken pieces are starting to flap around with the forced air coming through the vents.

I am making a complaint on 2007 tahoe. i have had the tahoe since 2010 and i have had problems with the dash ever since. i have had a replacement dash installed and two years later it cracked again. this time it is much worse. i have cracks all over and even cracks that butt up to the airbag box. i think this is not safe since pieces of the dash could fly off if the airbag is deployed and could seriously cause more damage to the driver and passenger. also, the crack could interfere with the way that the airbag comes out of the box. this could cause improper inflation or even a rip in the airbag. i think that this part should be recalled since thousands of chevy people are having the same problem. i have seen many pictures of peoples dashes that have the same concerns. please review these cases and understand that this simple cosmetic piece could have major affects.

The dash is cracked around the passenger air bag which worries me incase it deploys. i'm afraid it will have pieces of plastic thrown in the air which could result in a worse injury then what could have happened. also around the steering column
Dash cracked in what appears to be very common spots, just above instrument panel, and in the corner nearest the top left of the passenger airbag cover. this could be very dangerous in an accident, and is a known defect that chevy is choosing to ignore.

Dash cracks began appearing around 28,000 miles. car now has 62,000 miles and four cracks. originally, the cracks were not covered under the extended warranty. now, these cracks are not just aesthetically displeasing, but concerns are raised about the cracks around the front airbag and safety issues with regard to airbag deployment. cracks just became noticeable one day. the vehicle was always pampered, kept in a garage and protected by sunshades when occasionally parked outside. upon complaining, gm offered to fix it for half of retail cost...$500 instead of $1100.
Chrome plating on interior door handles are peeling leaving sharp and jagged edges causing cuts on hand and fingers. also, interior door panels' retaining clips are popping out causing panels to separate from the door.
I want to add to the known issue with the cracked dashboards on this series of gm trucks. i have a crack just above the passenger side airbag. the second crack is above the gauge panel on the drivers side. my concern is the crack on the passenger side. i fear that if in a crash, the plastic on the dash will fragment and send sharp pieces flying. this is a safety issue.
I bought my 2007 tahoe in 2011. the vehicle had a small crack by my passenger side airbag. i bought a sun shade visor, but that did not help the problem. over the past 6 six years the dash has cracked 6-7 more times. it cracked when i was driving on tbe highway, it cracked when my truck was parked right after i turned my a/c on, on a hot day. i'm concerned because if the faulty airbag that has to be replaced is deployed, small shards of plastic may become projectiles causing great bodily harm. there are hundreds of thousands of vehicles like mine on our roads everyday. this is dangerous and the problem needs to be rectified.
Chevy tahoe dash cracked and began breaking apart. crack above passenger airbag that would likely result in sharp projectiles if airbag deployed. crack also occurred above instrument cluster. dash was replaced in january 2012 and then cracked and had to be replaced again approx. 1.5 years later in 2013. this is a major defect. a google search of chevy tahoe/suburban cracked dash will illustrate the extent of this defect.

Cracked dashboard in multiple places. this is a well known problem that has been documented. i reached out to chevy and they refused to replace. my biggest concern is an air bag defect because of a big crack near the air bag.
Takata recall ad more. 2007 chevy tahoe lt3. first denied claim on cracked dashboard as warranty was up. then chevy recalls chrome interior door handles, but my tahoe is no in the recall. my kids have cut their hands on the peeling handles i took it to gm the said too bad your mileage is to great we wont honor recall furthermore your vehicles is not listed in recall. how is it not listed when all chrome interior handled vehicles where recalled? they told me to take a hike. now i have had a air bag recall for over a year, and a very cracked dash which gm will not fix. if the "recalled" air bags did as they have done and the state of my dash there will be significant injury to occupants. gm does not care, they have addressed the situation numerous times and nothing they are doing is correcting the issue.
The dashboard has cracked in two places. one crack is in the drives side and another crack is in the area near the passenger side airbag. i question whether the crack is going to have an impact on the performance of the airbag and/or potentially cause an issue or injury if the airbag if ever deployed.
Dash board is cracking and has been. called and went into dealer and always told no recall but can they could replace it for $1000 - 1500 dollars at my expense. i worry about the air bags with parts of the dash board falling into the dash.

Hi to whom it may concern, i'm contacting you guys in concerns of a cracked dashboard that initially started around my airbag area and later on continued cracking over my instrument panel. in do time i really think my dash will have holes in it allowing one to see all of my electrical parts and whatsoever. this is going to impose a vehichle safety issue do to if god forbid one gets into an accident of any type and da airbag deploys,all of that sharp plastic will be embedded into our faces,etc. gm needs to issue an recall because this is not considered a normal wear and tear issue being that what activity takes place on my dashboards!

Chrome peeling off of driver interior door handle sliced finger of driver while actuating the door handle to exit the vehicle. minor injury treated with out-patient care. upon detailed inspection, both interior front door handles exhibit same characteristic of sharp, peeling chrome on the top of the handle. chevrolet dealer advised that chevrolet was aware of issue but offered no remedy to the cause.

Hi, i own a 2007 chevrolet ls tahoe and my concern is that my front dash has developed a crack about 8" on the left side of the instrumentation cluster, the giant crack has started to appear to be gaping open, and it's starting to sag, and has also cracked on the above the top driver side dash air bag, , at the top center dash area just above the passenger right side air bag , but it's 2 individual cracks. i always have parked most of the majority of the time in my garage or i try to find shaded areas to park.
My dashboard is cracked around the passenger side airbag posing a possible danger if the airbag is deployed.

Dash board crack. the crack appears to have compromised the dashboard all the way to the passenger-side airbag and a much larger crack above the instrument panel. if something were to happen...i was in a wreck, and the airbag were to deploy...there's shards of dash going through the cab. i am the original owner on this 2007 tahoe.
The top part of the dashboard has cracks across the entire top spanning from driver to passenger side.
Like thousands of other chevy tahoe, subruban and silverado owners, i have significant and extensive cracking of the front dashboard, especially over the instrument console, due to an engineering design flaw in the 2007-2013 models. in the event of an accident, the dashboard will crack and splinter, causing plastic shards to be directed at the occupants of the vehicle at time of impact, possibly rupturing deployed airbags, rendering them useless.
Dash has been cracked in two spots, left top corner of passengers airbag and left of hump on driver side dash. also, trim along middle of doors are rusted along the tops. noticed this on other vehicles and was told at the dealership (friendly chevrolet in carrollton,tx) that none of this was under warranty.
Serious and extensive cracking of the dashboard above the instrument cluster and at the passenger side air bag. the crack would cause dangerous caving of the entire dashboard area in the event of a crash and could interupt the efficient deployment of the airbag system.
At 56000 i began to notice sally cracks to the passenger side dash on the corner of the housing for the passenger airbag. i took it to the dealership but this was not a covered item in my warranty. shortly after, the cracks have extended and are approximately 2-3 inches in length . also a crack above the instrument cluster began and has traveled to the front of the dash. the concern and immediate danger is that if the air bags were to deploy, the excerpted force would either send shrapnel from the dashboard in to the personnel in the vehicle causing a greater risk of serious traumatic injury or possibly death. additionally it is possible that the sharp edges created by the cracks could potentially pierce the airbag preventing it from fully deploying as intended and thus rendering it in affective and not adhering to safety standards, again resulting in possible loss of life or sever traumatic injury.
I have a cracking front dash, i have several cracks, on the right side above the front passenger side air bag area, and a larger crack on the left side of the instrument cluster, that coach is about 9"

Door handles. i has the vehicle for 12 months when the chrome on all four door handles started peeling. the chrome is sharp and causes cuts that have been deep.

My car's dash has been cracked since 2010 when it was only 3 years old. the cracks are all over, but specifically on the passenger side air bag and above the steering wheel. i do not know what caused the cracks. i also have peeling door handles that have cut my fingers as well as my children's fingers.

There are 3 cracks on my dash. there are 2 cracks on corners of drivers side at airbag and 1 crack on drivers side airbag. all 3 cracks are of great cocern to my familys safety. im not sure when the cracks happened.
I noticed a small crack in my dash along the passenger side airbag at about 40,000 miles. the dash is now cracked in 5 to 6 different places above the steering wheel. very frustrating to pay $50,000 for such poor quality. my tahoe has always been garage kept. i am worried that my front passenger side air bag is affected by this and that if it does deploy in the event of an accident that all the cracked pieces of hard plastic from the dash will be hazardous. also when driving you can hear the loud rattles from the dash.
My exterior door handles are breaking off. i have had all four replaced and now have two that have broken again. they are made of cheap plastic and held on the door with plastic that just breaks loose when pulled on. also the plastic coating on the interior door handles is peeling off causing sharp edges. i am so disappointed in this gm product. this is the most expensive vehicle that i have ever purchased and by far the poorest quality. my dash is also cracked in multpile places starting with the left corner of the passenger air bag and now above the instrument panel.
