Problems with 2007 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL

Stability traction control light keeps coming on while in motion. with major oil consumption problems. just in regular driving i've had transmission, and rear differential work done fixed the problem for a few months now back again with flashing check engine light. saying cylinder 6 misfiring. i've already sunk in over 4k in this after buying it last year in dec.of 2017. after reading comments this really should be a recall. with so many of the same concerns and complaints that have been listed.

Ignition does not engage engine when key is turned. takes several attempts of turning key on, completely off, then on again until engine will engage and start. stabilitrak light illuminates and goes off every 20-40 miles. rough shift between first and second gear. *tr

While driving under normal conditions, stabilitrak light illuminated and engine began idling rough. codes read cylinder #6 misfire. diagnosis revealed failed piston. engine rebuild required at a cost of $6700. stabilitrak light continues to go on and off. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet suburban. the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the reduced power engine and stability traction warning indicators illuminated. in addition, the contact mentioned that while at a traffic light with the brakes engaged, the vehicle accelerated independently without warning. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. the technician cleaned the throttle box but the problem recurred. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 157,000.

While driving the car logs go up and down, the stability control and park assist lights flash as well as the in dash audio system. the car looses power. scared of what will happen on the highway. *tr

January 2011: i'm having the exact same problems with my 2007 suburban as the complaint filed on june 13, 2010. this is a problem that i had when the vehicle was new, as well. the engine seemed to be sputtering while idling today and by the end of the day it lost its stability control with warning signals illuminated on the dash. the transmission is bucking out of 1st gear and begins to grind slowly from a stop. i concur that this problem should be recalled, as it poses great danger on the road. *tr

Engine started idling rough and the 'engine light' came on and stayed on.then the next day, went to start car and it was really idling rough, sputtering, then stablitrak light and 'traction control off' light and abs lights all came on. the car felt like it was going to die until about 20 mph, then made a jerking motion and ran fine. this continued to happen until i took it to the shop. they kept it for a week, replaced the fuel pump, but this did not fix the problem. the car still runs rough and the lights still come on whenever i have to idle, intersections, etc... i have been reading and i am concerned that there is no fix for this problem. i believe it is a faulty engine/electrical issue and there needs to be a recall. this is completely dangerous, if my stabilitrak system goes off and i am on unstable ground, rain, snow, etc... it will cause my car to brake and i will loose control of my car. i am worried that it is going to die in an intersection, since it has a hard time coming out of an idle with any power. *tr

While driving approx. 20 miles an hour there was a loud thud and the service engine light and the traction control light both came on at the same time. the engine began to miss on acceleration and shifting between 1st and 2nd gears was so rough it shook the truck. the truck is only 6 months old and has 9, 000 miles on it. the suburban was driven to the dealership for repairs it took 3 days for them to diagnose computer relay was affecting the traction control system and #7 cylinder had seized. the entire cam shaft is going to be replaced. est. work will take 7-10 days. *tr

Stability light and traction control light on saying need serviced, check engine light on, transmission slips from 1st into 2nd, and vehicle makes noise making turns. vehicle taken in for service but mechanic having trouble with codes. vehicle is 07 suburban with 961 miles. *jb

When i bought this suv the salesman said dash was cracked do to the sun. then i found out it was do to airbag deployment also said ge didn't believe it has been in a accident. it was. etcetc 1q trans fluid instead of oil 2 leaking antifreeze on top of motor 3 ems needs replaced 4 2 bad tires passenger front valve steam. passenger rear nail in tire. 5 cant operate windows from back seat 6 rear seat will not fold up 7 rear window defroster not attached 8 amp missing from back if vechicle 9 driver seat will not operate. 10 rear radio an air gas no display 11 front rotors are bad. 12 front end shacks when stopping 13 vehicle has been in a accident 14 found window glass under rear seat 15 left rear rim is bad 16 vehicle shakes 70 mph an over 17 bad transmission 18 motor is ??? 19 no manual on suburban 20 no remote 21 i put a 1/2 tank of gas in the truck and a qyarter if a tank leaked out. 22 hole in muffler 23 stabliaation control dont work 24 traction control dont work 25 back yp assiset dont work 26 tire monitor system donr work ok had the truck looked at at gattos the truck has mny expensive issues besides my list of 22 items the muffler is bad. rack an pinion is leaking for a while. brakes are bad. it has been in a serious accident the cracks in the dash is not from the sun there from the air bags being deployed. we can not afford to be without a vechicle that long and this one falls unde the lemon.law for used vechcles from a used car lot. hidden information. not disclosed i have talked to an attorney did not say what carlot i got it from but l. i wish to swap out to a duffernt vehicle before i presue hiring on the attorney. right now im at the v.a. text ne back on what they say about swaping out vehicles i need to keep documation do to memory issus thamks from note: [xxx] ...

Dt*: the contact stated while driving 20 mph, the check engine and the traction control light illuminated constantly. the engine then lost the majority of power and would not accelerate. the vehicle was moved to the side of the road, and was shut off. the vehicle was restarted after 10 minutes and driven to a residence. the vehicle was taken to a service dealer, who was unable to determine the problem. the manufacturer was also notified.
