I was driving on the highway and looked down and the speedometer said 100! cars were passing me and i knew there was no way i was driving 100. once i got to my destination, sitting still the speedometer was at either 50 or 60. when in motion it usually reads about 105-115 when going between 60-70 mph. (i think, i really have no idea since my speedometer is broken!!!) i have just over 75,000 miles on a 2005 suburban 1500. *tr

My 2005 k1500 suburban sustained a cracked head with 73,000 on the engine. the service department at my dealership has no information that a manufacturing problem exists. the repair cost over $2,000. this is not a normal occurrence or expected vehicle wear. *tr

Dt*: the contact stated while driving 50 mph on a dry highway in a passing situation, a light stating "reduced engine power" illuminated in the vehicle. the vehicle lost a majority of the engine power, and the tachometer would not pass 1200 rpms. the vehicle was not immediately taken in for service.
