Vehicle was statinonary, and was hit from the rear and pushed into another vehicle on a highway. i have damage to rearend, driver side and front end. after the accident i recieved an email that there was a critical issue with airbags, my airbags did not deploy. contacted gm about issue was transferred to esis/central claims for gm, they sent out and inspector to pull crash data, i was given copy of crash data, and crash data stated airbags deployed when they did not, it also showed a code b0052-00 which is an airbag deployment code. after weeks of back and forth my claim was denied for product defect on 06/12/18,
I have taken my vehicle to the dealership three times because my airbag light kept turning on. supposedly it was fixed but now the airbag light is on again and i have a message on my screen that says" service air bag"! it is frustrating to have to pay so much money for a new vehicle and to have such problems at such an early stage of the vehicles regular maintenance.

Takata recall - this issue has been goibg on since 2016 and there still isnt a solution. my air bag sensor goes on from time to time and it really stressesme out not knowing if something is going to go wrong. i have called my nearest dealership to see if there is an update or if they can provide me with a loaner in the meantime, and the answer is 'no' i have two children and their safety is my number 1 priority
11/24/2016 low speed collision air bags deployed at 11 mph under braking both stages causing injury to 3 people. seat belts retracted violently causing injury. involved in recall 16007 dealer stated to leave it for 2 weeks to repair on 11/10/2014.gm claim #849421 file sdm file downloaded and locked by esis phillip nottingham on 12/1/2016.

The truck was traveling on the interstate and the driver had to brake for heavy traffic ahead. without reason both side airbags deployed. the airbag deployment caused the driver to veer off the interstate and onto the frontage rd.there was no impact with anything prior to airbag deployment. luckily there was no impact after deployment either. the driver stated that he was hurt by the airbags. i rendered aid to this driver and completed a incident report. colorado state patrol case # 3c161461
