Takata recall it has been 2 years since the recall has been placed and yet no remedy has been issued. what will happen in the event that this recall affects my truck in the case of an accident? what are other options?

I have not gotten the recall on the airbag fixed as of this date. dealer says there is no fix for it. as for the stability control and traction control, i was driving the truck on a local street when the rear wheels locked up. luckily i was only doing about 30 when this happened. i took it to the dealer figuring it was a recall seeing as i feel it is a safety issue. i was charged $654.00 to repair it. i am thankful i was on a local street, i can only imaging what might have happened if i had been on the interstate doing 70. i see where many others have reported the same problem and i feel i was charged when this is a safty issue the chevrolet should repair at their expense.

Takata recall. several months after the recall notice for my vehicle, the airbag warning light came on while driving and i was notified to immediately bring my vehicle in for service. upon doing so, the service advisor charged me a diagnostic fee and notified me that the airbag needed to be replaced. even considering the recall that was in place there was no provision for the dealership to correct the issue without full payment of approximately $1200.00. i declined to have the repairs made and the item is still defective to date, but i still was obligated to pay the diagnostic fees regardless of the outcome.

The plastic dash panel has developed cracks over time but recently the cracks have started to develop around the passengers side front air bag. i am concerned that the continued cracking and subsequent uneven nature of the air bag surround could cause issues with air bag deployment and or that the sharp edges of the plastic could puncture or cut the air bag itself causing the safety of my passenger to be compromised.

Takata recall my airbag light is on and it says my airbags are part of the recall but no resolve available yet. this is involving my childrens lives and my life. this needs to be fixed asap before one of us gets killed.

Bought the truck in april, 2016 and now have a constant knock from engine. i was told it is probably the lifters. i did research to find many others having issues with lifters on vehicles that have the afm/dod which controls fuel and cylinder use when at steady highway speeds. i travel by highway to and from work. i still owe $17,000 on this truck. it is my only means of transportation.

I took my truck in because the a/c on the drivers side wasn't cooling properly. i was told it was $1000 to replace an actuator. i declined. i came back from dealership with a cracked dash around the passenger air bag. apparently this and the faulty air bag are well known issues. so because gm doesn't have the part, i can't get my airbag fixed and the cracked dash make my vehicle less safe.

Takata recall. takata inflators-passanger side gm recall 49151. received my notice in august 2016. gm informed me they were studing it and would have an answer in 6 months. same story in january 2017, july 2017, sept. 2017, november 2017, oct. 2018, oct. 2018, feb 2019, and finally july 2019. stated gm sent report to nhtsa and are still waiting for a reply. this is unbelievable ! who is responsible for for the safety in case of an accident and someone is hurt. it does not take 4 years to resolve the safety of this passenger inflator. other companies have replaced this air bag. why is gm dragging their feet.
