Takata recall- since march 2017, my warning light system has intermittently displayed a "service airbag" message. there is an existing recall associated with my vin, however since may, 2016 the recall status remains as "recall incomplete, remedy not yet available". i believe this to be an obvious safety concern.

Takata inflators: i believe my vehicle is on a recall list for faulty airbag inflators.

The dashboard immediately surrounding the case holding the passenger side airbag in my 2009 chevy silverado is cracked and broken in three (3) different places, including two (2) corners. i was advised this is a common issue in gm trucks, and that it is a structural integrity issue that could cause airbag deployment without accident. i was advised that since our truck is part of the takata recall to have our airbags turned off, especially since the dash holding the airbag is broken and damaged. three-way chevrolet in bakersfield, ca refuses to turn the airbag off, even after agreeing the cracked and broken dashboard poses an inherent safety risk by compromising the already defective airbags.

There is a recall on the air bags but the dealer will not replace them

My air bag sensor light came on and will not go off. the dealer that i deal with wants me to put in a new sensor in, and it will cost me around $500.00. they said that if i was to get into an accident, the air bags and the seatbelts might not deploy. should this be a recall item?

Takata recall. gm says on nhtsa web site that they consider my truck safe to drive all they did was turn the air bag off. which makes a key safety component inoperable this is not exceptable. and they still can't replace the inflaiter, i am forced to drive an unsafe vehicle this is also unexceptable. my question is - is this an exceptable remedy even if temporary to the nhtsa. i feel as though gm has replaced one potential tragedy with another. i am considering contacting a lawyer. my vehicle is not always stationary

The airbag warning light came on. truck has 46000 miles on it. the sensor on the driver's side was defective. it cost $328 (with labor) to replace.

Takata recall- dash is cracking in several places surrounding the passenger airbag. started when the truck had less than 70,000 miles. (truck now has ~109,000) aside from the dash cracking on a fairly low mileage and very well kept and maintained vehicle, the safety fears stem from the possibility of pieces of dash flying apart and striking passengers if the airbags are ever to deploy. or in a sudden stop, etc... i have seen several complaints about this issue. i can upload photos if necessary.

Airbag light on airbags disabled safety concern vehicle is not as potentially as safe as it was designed to be. the sdm (airbag module) has water intrusion and caused corrosion inside the sdm and caused the circuit board to burn out no fuses were blown which is a concern as well because the board had burn components from the water intrusion. gm had a previous recall on this problem it appears this vehicle had the recall as it had the jute from the carpet removed from this area above the sdm this recall was purposively a canada recall 09270c - material over sensing and diagnostic module i talked to gm about this they will do nothing for this even though they know of a problem this is a real safety concern not only for the airbag but for the module burning up the circuit board as well potential fire in the vehicle i would like it fixed by the manufacture

I have various cracks in my dash. there is a large one in the middle of the dash. this one occurred just this year (2016). but the other is more concerning, especially since it is up against the passenger airbag. this one has existed for several years (2014 or earlier). i didn't think about this being a problem until the takata airbag recall came up. i am worried that should i get into an accident, that the cracked plastic will become loose debris, and cause additional harm to any passengers. an interesting thing i've noticed is a popping noise coming from the dash. this occurs after i have been driving with the air conditioner on for a while. when i perform a google search, this seems to be a fairly common problem. in fact, there is a facebook group that has about 5000 members - https://www.facebook.com/groups/gmdashcrack/ - this is how i found out about this website. i am uploading 2 pictures. the image ending in 27, is the center crack. you'll notice that it is split completely for the full depth of that piece. the image ending in 32, is the crack that sits next to the passenger airbag. i am unable to determine if these cracks occurred while driving or not. they just seemed to appear over time.

Takata recall, our truck had a recall on it 07?2016. i have called the dealer several times. they say they do not have what it takes to fix it.

Takata recall - it's been 3 years since i received my notice of recall on the airbags in my 2009 silverado. now that my truck is older this concerns me even more that no fix has been made available. i want to go on record that this is unacceptable practice and needs to be corrected asap. also my dash on the pax side is cracked at the airbag cut out, which i've read that this is also a common problem and a huge safety issue for the rider. please please make these parts available soon. thank you

Takata recall. i received a recall letter in july 2016. i have contacted a chevrolet dealer on more than one occasion after not hearing anything more about the recall in november of 2017. i was told the last time i called that testing is not complete and that i would get a letter from gm after all tests are complete. is this correct or am i getting the run around from this dealer?
