Takata recall it has been almost 3 years since the recall was first reported. i would like to know the status of the remedy for the recall. i have not experienced any problems yet but i would rather not wait until i have an accident to find out.

I struck an object headon hard enough to total my truck and my airbag never deployed. disabled veteran and injured an already replaced knee, head and arm. will upload photo later. need assistance to obtain.

Takata recall. we need a fix. we keep getting recall notices, when we call the dealers, the same answer every time, we will call you when we get the parts. no returned calls. our family has a ford and chevy that have been on the recall list for "4" years!?! neither have a fix for it. i understand takata is to blame, but an alternative fix should be made to take care of this problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

H now, as for the ntsa,...you need to step up as well and do your job. this is a known serious safety issue and must not let gm off the hook. this is coming from a person that has owned nothing but gm autos and had many family members employed by them...get on them... thank you ..

Takata recall- i received gm passenger air bag recall notice 49152 for my chevy silverado, in 2016 . i have called yearly to find out when they will fix the problem in my truck. the standard answer is that they don't have a fix yet and i will be notified when a fix is available. i understand that as of today,march 1,2019, they are still investigating and finalizing investigation details. it was indicated again today that i will be notified when a resolution is determined. they say the truck is safe to drive as is. the nhtsa campaign id number for this recall is 16v383. it seems to me that gm has had ample time to determine a fix for this problem. can you help expedite a resolution?

Takata recall: general motors is negligent in the communication and servicing of my 2007 silverado 1500. multiple other manufacturers have settled and are working to make their systems safe, i am in zone a, which is supposedly a high risk area. gm is being negligent in its address of the recall buy filing multiple petitions for inconsequentiality and delaying any remediation. not addressing this puts my family at risk of injury and even death. i also see a great number of complaints submitted to the nhtsa website, but i do not see that the nhtsa is making any attempts to move this forward.

Just had someissues with the differebtial on my 07 silverado 1500 lt the problem being is the bolt the goes througn the pin that hold spider gears in place broke off chewd the pin up preety godod was a temporary fix finally was able to fix it proper afte it started again did not have 1500.00 dollars laying to rebuild it found a good used one with low miles on just swaped it out the cost for all about $500.00 this is a problem that should be looked in to and general motors needs to recall these vehicle to fix it being a a common problem could have causeed me major wreck or someone else was driving it when happened this issue needs to be resolved soon stated about 160000 miles if not sooner before i caught it

The recall for the passenger airbag inflator is over 2 years old. i called chevrolet and they are still listing this recall as incomplete and no remedy is available.

The pasenger airbag has a message that it would not deploy and the garage says it is a 900 $ fix. so far this vehicle has not been in an accident.

Takata recall- got recall letter in july 2016, always checking website but no help. drivers airbag stopped working per truck computer. still no help on recall website, so called chevolet customer phone number on recall sheet. but again no help. told them i need it fixed because i sometimes have my grandkids with me. the man [ed} said i would have to pay for it because it hasnt been determined yet.

Takata recall - the manufacturer has failed to remedy this safety recall for my vehicle in a timely manner. it has been two years since the issue was discovered in 2016, and "a remedy is not yet available". i live in a hot and humid region and am highly concerned with the safety risk brought forth by this significant delay. as gm has recommended, i will be reaching out to a service professional, though a remedy is not yet available.

Takata recall i received a letter stating my truck had was on the takata airbag recall list. the dealership says it is not. also the dashboard had a crack that has now developed in missing pieces and exposing the inside of the dash and i am worried it will affect the integrity of the airbags. in doing research i saw where several 2007-2013 chevrolet silverados and tahoes had bee recalled for cracking dashboard. i am very concerned about sharp plastic flying out from dash. photo attached.

Takata recall i have repeatedly followed up on the takata recall for the last 2 years since advised of the air bag problems but with no results towards a resolution. 2 years for action is unreasonable and all my passengers have been exposed to danger of injury or death during that time. this is unacceptable. if you cant fix the air bag problem then provide service to disconnect the air bags. i would rather take my chances with no air bags. i need a remedy immediately.

Takata recall chevrolet has yet to issue a recall for this issue. hot and warm climates can cause problems from what the info says. i live in sc and with the weather getting warmer a temps reaching 105 during the summer it definitely has me concerned. when will they have this fixed after more people die!

Takata recall. i received a letter dated july 2016 from chevrolet around august 16, 2016 advising me of gm recall 49152. i called gm on august 16, 2016 and received reference # 8-2305780209 saying "no progress on repairs,yet" i called gm again on january 9, 2017 and received reference # 8-2652079164 with the same response of "no progress on repairs, yet" i also contacted the dealership i purchased my truck from, (originally. it was mark heitz chevrolet), then david stanley chevrolet, and now landers chevrolet. i spoke with the service managers of both stanley and landers, and the last response from landers service manager was that there we "no parts yet. no prospects for when they (replacement air bags) may be shipped." let me now begin to tell you my concerns, since i received my original notice from gm in august, 2016, takata has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy on june 25, 2017. the original dealership which sold me my pickup truck, heitz chevrolet, has subsequently sold twice--to david stanley chevrolet, and now, to landers chevrolet. i am beginning to think of a conspiracy. did takata advise gm of a potential problem that gm subsequently advised their various dealerships of regarding takata air bags? if so, then i am very interested to know exactly when 1) takata knew of the problem with their air bags, 2) when did they first notify the auto manufacturers (specifically, gm) of the problem with their air bags, 3) when exactly did gm acknowledge receipt from takata about the air bag problem, 4) did gm notify its dealership owners, either specifically or on a blanket basis, of the pending problem with takata air bags, and 5) when did gm notify its dealership and dealership owners of the takata mess. gm says my truck is safe to drive. however, it is just not safe to wreck. i want this resolved in my favor--not waiting for gm to file bankruptcy.
