In 2011with 23955 miles brakes pulsating, mechanic resurfaced front rotors,33146 miles front pads and resurfaced rotors, lf hub reported to have play in it.34764 replaced front brake pads and rotors,55490 miles replaced front brakes and rotors,58458 replaced left hub,58936 miles replaced front brakes pads.in 3446 miles had to replace front brake pads.60147 miles replaced left hub again.64020 replaced front brake rotors(within 8530 miles)70602 replaced right front sway bar.71794 16310 miles replaced back rotors and brake pads again.78164 6370 problems again this time replaced front brakes and rotors.now problems again at 79123 miles .will be diagnosis april 26 2017.absolutely absurd.something is flawed..my tires lasted for 24824 miles.please investigate and help to fix this expensive problem.
Driving down the freeway at night with my cruise control on. all of a sudden it turns off and i notice my brake lights illuminated in my rear view mirror. i tap the brake only to have them come back on. it kept doing it for about 20 miles then stopped. it has happened on numerous occasions and chevy has failed to do anything about the problem. i feel unsafe driving this vehicle. i have all my documentation of dealer records for this. *tr

Air bag warning light illuminates when pressing hard on brake pad and when making turns. warning light in dash stays on the warning light may go off briefly when driving and it is required to brake hard, but illuminates again when brake is pressed. sometimes, it comes on during normal driving without braking. sometimes it comes on when the car is driven over a bump in the road. this malfunction makes it impossible to determine if air bags are actually engaged and will operate during a crash. the problem only increased after body control module (bcm) recall was fixed on the vehicle. it occurs every 1-2 days since the bcm was repaired. local chevrolet dealer has not been able to identify a problem and has not been willing to contact gm for information. extremely concerned for passenger safety.
The contact owns a 2010 chevrolet malibu. the contact stated that the steering wheel was extremely rough to turn. additionally, the air bag warning light would illuminate intermittently and the battery continued to drain prematurely. the contact also stated that the rear suspension was unstable. the vehicle was taken to the dealer several times but the dealer was unable to diagnose the failure. the contact was traveling on the highway when the rear suspension failure recurred and the vehicle swayed violently toward the driver's side of the vehicle. the steering wheel seized and as the contact applied force to the steering wheel, the steering wheel seized and the contact crashed into a tree. the air bags only partially deployed. the driver sustained severe injuries and the jaws of life were used to remove an injured passenger from the vehicle. a police report was filed. the vehicle was destroyed. the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 12v460000 (power train). the contact received the recall notification after the crash occurred. the manufacturer was notified of the failures several times but to no avail. the approximate failure mileage was 1,000. *tr updated 3/3/15*cn updated 07/06/2017 *ct
