I had the lower and upper intake manifold gaskets replaced on may 2008, vehicle only had 75000 miles at that time, now the same thing is happening again. i have to add coolant almost every day. this appears to be a manufacturer defect. please acknowledge. *tr
The cooling system was losing antifreeze rapidly, due to a defective lower intake manifold gasket,both the lower and upper intake manifold gasket had to be replaced. a costly job. as per the technician this engine always has this defective problem. *tr
Low coolant light kept coming on had to fill resivoir tank once a week. took car in to find the problem lower intake manifold gasket leaking and had to be replaced. *jb
The intake manifold gasket on chevrolet 2000 lumina vin# [xxx] has been replaced twice since the vehicle was purchased. first time under warranty with approximately 35,000+ miles and second time with 78,838 miles on the vehicle. this appears to be a manufacturers defect based on my experience and discussions with others. this complaint is with the manufacturer. *js information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6)
While driving the head gasket blew and caused fluid to leak. *nlm
There was a knocking noise in the engine. the dealership stated it was caused by a pin going into first the cylinder, and it can go out at anytime. the dealership will either replace the part or the entire engine. there was a tsb 030601002 for this problem. *jb
