Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chevrolet impala. while driving, the speed failed to exceed 50 mph and the check engine indicator illuminated. the vehicle was taken to courtesy chevrolet buick gmc (1220 e stone dr, kingsport, tn 37660, (423) 343-5036) where it was diagnosed that the transmission fluid was dirty and needed to be flushed. the vehicle was repaired. the vehicle was taken to jackson chevrolet buick gmc (1975 n main st, lafayette, ga 30728,(706) 638-4222) where it was diagnosed that the transmission sensor needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not contacted. the failure mileage was 79,361.

While i was driving down an interstate in heavy traffic (rush hour) getting ready to merge onto another interstate the vehicle lunged violently jolted and lost power. at that time i was driving (cruise control off) at 60mph, the display lights on the dashboard came on stated: stability control, traction control, check engine came light on, and vehicle rapidly slowing. i was able to move to the right lane and access and exit ramp. once that happened you can't get vehicle to move when pressing on the gas pedal. i put it in park, turned off the vehicle. i waited for a few minutes then turned on the car. the check engine light remained on. vehicle has done this a few other times however; no codes come back when diagnosed as the check engine light turns itself off. this seems to be a major issue however; gm doesn't want to accept responsibility and fix their issue to make their vehicles safe. i am terrified of driving the vehicle and consider my experience lucky in the fact no accident happened however; i am now paying to have my car parked in a lot waiting for gm.

Vehicle makes winding noise when making right hand turn and hesitates to take off while entering traffic. hazard and can cause injury or fatality.

Third issue with loss of power. this time, started car. the car was fighting for air for a few seconds, with stabilitrak and engine light on. i shut the car off immediately. restarted after a few seconds. the engine light remains on. service is stating history says misfire on 2 cylinders, but no code thrown and cannot diagnose. we can guess and pay $350 for the guess, or not guess and pay $125 for the diagnostics that were ran. (!!!) what in the world...

Started having issues with the cv axles popping when starting and stopping at 18000 miles. motor mount went bad shortly after and steering started acting really sluggish when trying to turn. around 25k miles it started getting worse about turning and the gauges would start resetting on there own. after a day of that happening the passenger side dash caught on fire.

Initially it started out with losing all lighting control during driving for about 10sec after which it comes back on. this when on are about two months and about a week ago, i started getting the error message 'power steering drive with care' which alternates with another error message 'stabilitrak'. each time this comes on during driving, the car jerks a little with the emergency park light for about 2sec and if i were driving with the cruise control on, it automatically disables it. this is regardless of how fast am driving.

Car was traveling at 79 mph on highway in cruise control when car lost all power (engine, exterior/interior lights, brakes, etc.) was able to get car to the shoulder, and restart the vehicle. later determined the issue to be with the key. a slight bump of the key, e.g. tapping the attached keyring or hitting a bump while driving, causes the car to turn off . this was a rental car rented from budget.
