The traction control light and the abs light came on at the same time and its saying service tractioncontrol system/service stabilatrak system and also service assited brake control system i did some research and i found out this is a common problem with these cars and should be addressed by gm to be fixed at their cost not mine
There was no accident the driver side rear brake line developed a leak because it was rubbing against the seam on the side of the gas tank. the line is in great shape otherwise. still has a black coating on it other than the area that was rubbing the plastic gas tank seam. the gas tank seam is also worn away. we purchased this vehicle used in the fall of 2010 and these are the same brake lines as were on it at time of my purchase. very dangerous experience for my wife who was driving the vehicle when the brake pedal went to the floor. luckily she got it into a parking lot and parked. this happened 3-15-2019. i took pictures then gently pulled the brake line away from the gas tank and took a picture of the hole worn in the line and wear on the gas tank

The service airbag light came on but you claim my vin number is not under recall! this should be looked into! it came on when i started it and stayed on until i was on my way home from work then it disappeared. i also have a break that is grinding even after it has had new rotors, brake pads and the caliper changed. it grinds continuously. i am not happy at all! please check into these matters! i believe my car should be on your recall list for these issues!
When i first purchase my car from a used car dealer which is smart auto dealer, 2 weeks later my vehicle will start to have issues while my vehicle is in motion on the service streets. whenever i am making a left turn my alert alarm will light up on dash stating service brake assist , service stabilitrak , service traction control and abs light, this will go on & off, but now it stays on constantly. while turning left, there will be a grinding noise, car tends to reduce its power, like its hard for me to take off and my vehicle will kick so hard, like something is locking. also another issue is while parked on a slanted carport, my vehicle will not go into reverse gear. i feel like my vehicle is going to break because, i have to force it to get into reverse gear, that the vehicle will make the loudest noise, like my axle is going to break on me. according to the dealers service department its not showing up on there diagnostic as any issues. can someone please tell me if there is a recall on my vehicle? there was a known recall, but my vin# is not showing up. dealers are trying to cheat me
Anti locking brake light coming on, service traction control, service stabiltrac ,service electronic stability control. had all checked, said it was a right drive wheel bearing, replaced the wheel bearing. still have the same problem.
A common issue amongst chevy impala's is the "service stabilitrak" error. it comes on every day and effects my brake pedal and engine power. i will be attaching a link proving that this has been an ignored issue by gm for years. it is not safe to have these cars on the road and i demand a recall/different car from my dealership as my car is less than 2yrs old. Intermittent abs, traction control, stabilitrak issues have been happening for the last few years. it startyed at about 80k miles. i have replaced the wheel hub twice due to a loose bearing. this significantly reduced the problem the first time, but has not resolved the issue the second time. it tends to happen when the vehicle is jarred (such as hitting a pot hold on a dirt road) or when turning hard to the right while accelerating. if it happens a few times within a short time, then the system will abs, stabilitrak, and traction control systems shut down. it

During a road trip, stopped for lunch. upon continuing the drive to home, the brake pedal suddenly faded away and smoke began to come from under the hood - we found a parking lot and pulled in and shut the car off. after opening the hood, we discover the top of the motor was covered with brake fluid. we had the car towed to our home town - 100 miles away - at a cost of $650.00 - then delivered to the dealer on monday - today they have informed me that we have no warranty left and the brake line had rubbed on a part next to it causing the leak. further more - the required part for repair is on a minimum 2 week back order - indicating that this is not an uncommon problem. if this had happened just a few miles up the road, we would have been in the narrows of highway 101 in the curves with no where to pull off!! the brakes went off line with no warning - where is the recall on this vehicle????? less than 10,000 miles - only choice left will be to dump this car as soon as it is repaired - if!?! *tr
At first it was when backing up and turning sharp. the traction control message would come on and a grinding like sound from the front driver wheel area. later it included the abs warning and would also occur after backing with turn and going forward at that moment. now randomly when pulling out and the service air bag light comes on. recently also the oil pressure low message and dummy light come on 3-4 times before stopping (and yes the oil pressure is good with correct oil, tires, pressure, brakes, sensors all check good). best guess diagnostics is shorting in wiring harness that can not be located until it fails completely. however with grabbing with traction control when pulling out and air bag problems it is obvious this is a safety hazard.
The 2010 impala was at hwy speeds at approx 65mph. the traction control light came on and the check engine light and the message display was flashing traction control failure. the lights stayed on. it also said engine at reduced speeds . the traction control failed at hwy speeds which left me coasting to reduced speeds and then the car shut off at 20 mph with no power steering or braking. i was able to coast off the highway into a parking lot off the service road. *tr
I own a 2010 chevy impala on a short trip to shankville, pa. as i tried to slow down by tapping the brakes and the vehicle began to shake and pulsate violently. this happened again as i was taking my wife to the airport. the vehicle will begin to shake violantly when i apply the brakes at around 60 to 65 mph. i took the vehicle to the dealership and was told that the rotors are warped, and i should get new brakes with new rotors. i informed the individual that the vehicle had just had its yearly state inspection done by them in march of 2012 this was early august 2012 and the vehicle had only been driven less then 2000 miles. a check on the internet shows that the impla is prone to warped brake rotors. this is a serious saftey issue. *tr

While on a medium downgrade on hwy 101 in marin county, ca at approx 65 mph i slowly applied brakes to reduce speed. the brakes immediately started to "chatter" and i thought the abs system was activating. i continued to just "tap" on the brakes to keep my speed reducing to the legal limit (55 mph) and the chattering stopped when speed was reduced and i was back on level grade. the condition has not repeated itself when driving on a level grade and with normal braking when slowing down from 65 mph. in august 2012 i took the car to a dealer for a minor warranty repair and asked them to also check the brakes for any problem with the abs system - still thinking that is what caused the initial problem. i was told that the brake rotors were warped and was caused "by the way i drive". i have been driving for over 60 yrs and have never had this type of brake problem. this car was purchased new in nov 2009 and it has been driven less than 10k miles per year - it is still under warranty until 11/2012. gm refuses to accept any responsibility for premature rotor warping or that their brake design maybe faulty, i.e. inadequate cooling for brakes, etc. they were of absolutely no help in addressing this problem seeking to put any blame solely on the driver. how can one respond to that kind of attitude. the nhtsa should make gm certify that their brake system, materials, brake cooling design, etc. could not possible cause any form of brake rotor warping in a vehicle driven less that 25k miles. thank you for looking into this matter. *tr
