We have classified the 117 complaints from 2009 Chevrolet Impala about VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL into the following categories.
On my display i have seen daily (service traction action) and (engine power reduced) along with (service airbag) for more than a year, did not service due to cost and it is not my fault! my car usually slows down once the engine power reduced displays causing the car to jerk due to me trying to give it more gas so as not to be hit from the back. as my grandchildren and i were headed home on the freeway my car decided to just shut off. on the display it read first.. service traction action and then starting disabled service throttle. my car immediately lost power and i began to pray hoping i would not get hit from the back with my grandchildren sitting in the back. once i pulled over my car would not start i sat for about a minute and tried to start again and it started. just today 01/12/2015, with my grandchildren in the back of my car again my car decided to loose power again but this time it did something very different, it would not allow me to first reverse and then it allowed me to but soon after i could not go forward. the gas peddle acted as though the car was completely turned off but the car was running. when i attempted to press the gas peddle i pressed it all the way down to the floor, nothing happened. i ended up calling a towing service and after telling them what happened i was told my issues stemmed from a electrical system issue that chevy had recalled. this does not make any sense for so many of us to go through the same issues but nothing be done about these issues. something needs to be done quickly!! *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2009 chevrolet impala. the contact stated that while driving approximately 30 mph, the reduce power and the check engine warning light illuminated. the vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic. the technician diagnosed that the accelerator position sensor failed. the vehicle had not been repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 102,000.
My engine power reduced light came on alone with the traction light. *tr
Was driving when the traction control light came on and message came across saying service traction control: then check engine light started flashing rapidly at the same time. follow by a very loud knocking noise from the engine. then speed would not accelerate. turned on flashers and coasted into parking lot. vehicle had troubles restarting and would not move. steering wheel was hard to turn. tries to die while idling after you get it to start. did diagnostics and code p0300 random misfire detection power train unable to establish a link to the vehicle. fuel system 2 is ol, lift at 0%, spark plug 13.5, fuel level low 38.8, ecu 14.417, low acceleration. contacted local chevy dealership and was told it will cost $35 to tow it to their shop and about $85 just to run a diagnostic on their machine. if it is a lifter the cost will be over $700 to get fixed. i purchased this automobile in august 2013 and have just had it a year. so now i have a car payment on a car that doesn't run. i bought it at wk motors in sedalia, mo. this is the second time this car has had issues and without a warranty the dealership wont do anything!!! *tr
Traction control light comes on. power is reduced. car runs and drives well. driving on interstate the light comes on and cuts power. i had to coast to a stop on the side of the highway. we waited 5 minutes and the car started. the light went off for a day and then came back on. i hear of people replacing parts and the problem not being fixed. i can't afford to do that. *tr
This incident has happened several times leading up to the check engine light remaining on. as i would be driving down the road at approximately 45 mph. the vehicle would suddenly start to jerk to accelerate and decelerate without me wanting to change speeds. several of these incidents have been while i was driving in traffic. then the message "reduced engine power" and "service traction control" would appear on the dash and the traction control light and check engine light would come on and stay on. this would also cause the car to reduce its speed and cause significant acceleration problems. i replaced the accelerator position sensor as indicated by a code look up and haven't had anymore problems with the car as of october 25, 2014. *tr
Accelerator pedal position sensor app went out. after checking with several car service departments they said i should report this. lots of people with this same car our having this problem. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2009 chevrolet impala. while driving approximately 55 mph, the traction control and the check engine indicators illuminated. the vehicle began to decelerate and then stalled. the dealer stated that the failure was due to the electronics in the accelerator pedal. the vehicle was repaired and the manufacturer was notified. the failure mileage was 100,630. updated 08/11/14*lj
Climbing up alpowa grade on highway 12 in washington state, the check engine light came on, "engine power is reduced" came on in the odometer window. approximately 35 miles later, beyond dodge junction and before starbuck turnoff, there was another message flashed in the odometer window, "ignition switch disabled. service engine" the engine shut down, and the power steering became super sluggish. the car slowed down, and we were able to get stopped on the side of the road. at this point when we got the car running again, the cruise control would not work. when we reached walla walla, washington, we stopped at o'reilys auto parts, had one of the parts specialists come out and check what the code was on the computer, and found out it was the electronic throttle sensor that is defective. this is a pilot car escort vehicle, making the hazard even more dangerous, because had i been traveling with an oversized load, i could have been hit by the semi pulling the load, or i could have impacted the rear of the load, depending if i were following or leading. also, had that happened while on a job, the load would have had to stop until another pilot car escort vehicle could arrive to continue with the load. this is a dangerous thing to have shut off when driving in areas that are not straight. unable to control steering, brakes less than responsive, and possible hazards of vehicles oncoming or following us could become impact hazards. Last night, i started up my car and immediately the car started to shudder pretty hard. my car started chiming and a service traction control showed up on my dash, followed by an engine power reduced. the light indicator for my tc was lit. i immediately turned the car off and tried to restart it. the same thing happened again. i turned it off and waited 2 minutes before restarting. it started fine, with no bad indications. the car also drove normally. a few hours later as i was starting home, it happened again. my car was still parked as before when the indications showed up. shut off and restarted and it cleared out. no problem once i started driving. this morning was no different. so far, this only has happened when i was starting my car up. i have been fortunate that this hasn't happened to me while the car was in motion- yet. other people with this problem haven't been so fortunate. there has been no bad weather at all. dry as a bone. i bought this car in 2010 knowing it used to be a rental. i have had no problems with it until now. i took my car into my chevy dealership, who thought it might be the throttle body sensor. they are ordering the part in, but i'm still skeptical if that is really what is causing it. i have heard the sensor on the hub assembly could cause this, as well as the accelerator pedal sensor. from reading multiple forums, many owners have had scary experiences with the car decelerating on freeways or other dangerous places that could result in wrecks and personal harm. they had taken their cars in multiple times and shelled out thousands trying to fix this phantom ghost problem. frankly i am amazed there has been no recall for this. i am moving to ca, and i'm driving there by myself in less than two weeks. i can't have my car try to do me in right now, nor do i have endless amounts of cash to fix a mech's guess. warranty does not cover this. *tr
I was accelerating to merge left into a highway. weather was dry and hot. traction control light came on along with engine light car shows message: "service traction control", "engine power reduced". car takes longer to accelerate. after i turned off the car and turn it on, traction control light disappeared. engine light remains on. *tr
Service traction control message along with reduced engine power message. car jerked/hesitated upon stopping and starting at intersection. reduced speed automatically and couldnt speed up. *tr
I was accelerating and turning left at the same time after a stop sign into a 40 mph road. weather was hot and dry. traction control and engine light came on immediately. car shows message: service traction control, engine power reduced. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2009 chevrolet impala. the contact stated that the acceleration sensor was malfunctioning which caused the engine to idle. the contact mentioned that the check engine and traction light illuminated. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the technician diagnosed the acceleration sensor needed to be replaced. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 84,000 and the current mileage was 86,490.
Tl* the contact owns a 2009 chevrolet impala. the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the service traction control and the engine power reduced warning light illuminated. in addition, the vehicle stalled. the vehicle was taken to a dealer where the technician diagnosed that the accelerator pedal and the position sensors needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 64,000.
The traction control, stability track and abs lights all came on. the engine power reduced light came on and engine power was lower. i had the left speed sensor replaced and the accelerator sensor replace on august 8th after the dealership had fixed this problem in april and again in june. i was told they changed sensors then also, but i am not sure of which ones at that time. i am now having the same problem for the forth time. replacing the sensors every few months is getting expensive. also not very safe. i contacted gm and the woman told me to take it back to the dealership to be fixed again. i have fixed the same issue three times already. they were of no help at all. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2009 chevrolet impala. the contact stated that while driving 60 mph, the vehicle decelerated to 20 mph as the decreased power engine light illuminated. the failure was experienced several times and at various speeds. a local mechanic performed a diagnostic and located the failure at the throttle positioning sensor. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure and current mileage was 48,000.
Was driving car and traction control light came on and then check engine light. lost power and brakes. car was able to stop but very hard. glad nobody was in front of me or i would have it them. this is very dangerous and i think there should be a recall on the throttle body and sensors. i did have it fixed but had to take it to several dealers to figure out if it was the accelerator pedal or the throttle body.it was the whole throttle body unit. *tr
I was driving home on the freeway at about 70 mph and the service engine light went on with it saying "reduced engine power" on display. about 10 seconds later i could not accelerate, the car began to start slowing down and i lost ability to maneuver the steering easily as the steering wheel locked up. i was able to pull off on the side of the freeway and i had to turn the car off and wait about 10 minutes for the problem to clear up. *tr
What happened is the vehicle traction control triggered and reduced the cars functionality and speed. it cleared itself, but what concerns me is this problem is prevalent in gm chevrolet vehicles ranging from 2005 to 2011. it is listed many times here in your data base to your organization. our lives and safety are involved here. focusing on charging a fee to do an investigation is deplorable. lives are at stake here. this should not be another american after the fact occurrence or event. what happened to proactive responsibility. these american car makers produce junk cars and the consumer constantly get stiffed with lemons. states lemon laws? nothing but american lemons are rolling off of the production lines. you think, this may be why other countries will not buy our products. there is no reliability in what is produced or manufactured and the customer service is lip service. non - existent with these car dealers and pure sales rhetoric. your site reads: the information you provide will be used to identify potential safety-related defects or determine the adequacy of existing safety recalls. i can't afford the repairs, pay for an investigation as well. i am not pleased with how the ball keeps getting passed or dropped. nhtsa these poorly produced weapons weigh tons. rolling down the poorly maintained highways and streets of this country endangering us all life and limb. my vehicle has the same problem with the traction control that forces my car to brake , pull to the right and slow enough to endanger my well being. i'm truly scared and concerned here and the repairs and code lights aren't reliable. only the repair shops are winning. the problem keeps repeating after thousands are spent to keep the car running. i need this car for work. if it cant get me there then they will come and take the junk back i am trying to maintain. thank you *tr
The problem started in january of 2014. as i write this i want to say that i have read all the blogs on my complaints and see that i am not alone which forces me to ask gm why is it that we all see the elephant in the room and you people are ignoring it. suffice to say this problem is a safety issue would be the understatement of the century. when will gm step up to the plate and make these issues a priority so there customers don't have to waste time writing complaints like this one. it's really very simple my engine light is on along with the stabilitrak light as well as the car losing all power. now if gm feels this is not a good enough reason to create a recall i fail to see what is. people just like me have been complaining about this for years and gm does nothing. along with gm being at fault the dealerships are [xxx] there customers while they go thru a laundry list of items they think might be the problem for these codes. i for one cannot afford the dealership prices nor will i pay these so called experts good money after bad to try and fix problems that they really have no idea as to what's causing them. i originally bought this chevy b/c i wanted an american car for a change, man was i wrong. as soon as i fix this heap i will sell it before anymore lights go on and go right back to honda where at least i know they stand by there cars and it runs way into the six figures before any real problems occur. i'm one of the little guys that bailed out gm and by the way were still paying taxes for that bailout. how about it gm, don't you care about us at all? *tr parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
Traveling on highway at 70 mph. service traction, reduced engine power, service engine lights came on, car was shaking, everything was shutting down. fortunately it was not rush hour and i was able to pull off road. i was on a toll road that aaa can not respond. i waited about 20 minutes and started the car and everything was fine. took car to our mechanic, there was a service bulletin, to replace throttle body assembly. since then, 2 letters from gm about covering cost of throttle sensor, but not assembly. gm is not taking care of the real problem, the whole assembly needs to be replaced, not just the sensor! i've kept the part and invoice and letters from gm, they should just recall before it turns into a class action lawsuit!
While my wife was driving (with my three kids as passengers) at highway speeds the message was displayed in the dashboard "reduced engine power" and "service traction control" messages were displayed. the vehicle immediately last power and the speed was reduced to less than 30 mph, while on the highway. she was able to navigate to the shoulder and call me for assistance. by the time i got there and started the engine it was running normally except for the "service engine soon" light was lit. i took it to the nearest chevrolet dealership who immediately stated it was a faulty electronic throttle control and would cost $580 to replace. i searched on-line and found dozens of complaints exactly like this one for 2008-2012 model impalas'. there is not a recall on this problem so the customers are getting charged to fix this faulty chevrolet device. someone is going to get killed if they do not recall this device. *tr
I was driving on i95 merging onto 175 in columbia, md, my speed was 65mph. my "service traction control" light and "reduced engine power" light came on and my car shut completely off. i had no control over the car, could not apply brakes. i put the car in park and turned the ignition switch to off for a few minutes. luckily there wasn't any traffic behind me cause they would have hit me and killed me. i waited about 5-10 min turned the car on proceeded to my destination. the check engine light stayed on. i called the service department at bob bell chevrolet on kane street in baltimore. i was several miles from there they couldn't come get the car so i drove it to them. they had my car approximately 2-3 days and could not replicate the incident. since this time it has happened 8-10 times or more since may 11, 2014 i've called the service department and was to continue to drive it, they can look at it, no codes registered in december when they looked at it so they don't know what's wrong. they want me to bring my car in but don't want to give me a rental. this is too dangerous. i am scared everytime i get behind the wheel of my car. *tr
My issue was that i was four months into driving my new 2009 chevy impala and while driving on the highway going about 60 mph my car showed flashing signal reading "engine reduced speed" "check stabilitrack " and my check engine was on. the car then stopped accelerating and dropped to 45 mph immediately. i was nearly rear ended with my son in the car. after researching and hearing complaints about gm and how they are not taking responsibility of this safety issue and actuality charging people to fix their defect. their are numerous blogs and videos proving this. examples: show over 23,000 drivers with the same issue http://www.[xxx] : http://www.[xxx] thank god it does not look like any fatalities have occurred as of yet but who knows. please don't let someone get injured or lose their life to take notice to this. gm thinks injury or lose of life = $222.00. i am in contact with a law firm in hopes of a class action. *tr parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
When i pressed down on my accelerator pedal (speed limit was increasing from 50mph to 65mph), a message of "starting disabled. service throttle" came up on the dash. the accelerator pedal and steering wheel completely locked up and the car started to decelerate. i was able to force the steering wheel in order to turn onto a side street (narrowly avoiding a car stopped in the left lane to turn) and park the vehicle in a location out of the main lane of traffic. had this side street not been there at that exact moment, the possibility of a crash would be very likely as steering was unresponsive and i may have been rear-ended due to the sudden loss of engine power. *tr
While driving on the freeway the engine reduce power light came on and seconds later the car lost power. this has happen several times. today 1/30/14 this has happened 4 times. this is a safety hazard! i've seen several complaints about this issue, people are spending hundreds of dollars thinking the issue is being fixed and the problem is never fixed. at this point it looks like 100 of people will have to lose their life before a recall takes place. as a single parent (my children's only living parent) this issue shake me to my soul! *tr
I was at a stop sign and the reduced engine power, check traction control lights came on. the code came up i had it checked it is the accelerator pedal position sensor this can be a very dangerous occurrence .nhtsa please look at these complaints it is a 75 dollar part and labor of 4 hours.im paying for part and doing myself i need some reimbursement or payment of this to shop. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2009 chevrolet impala. the contact stated that while driving approximately 75 mph, the vehicle suddenly stalled. the contact was able to restart the vehicle after approximately 30 minutes and the vehicle operated normally. the vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the throttle body switch was faulty. the throttle body switch was replaced and the defect was remedied. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 94,600.
Tl* the contact owns a 2009 chevrolet impala. the contact stated that while driving 55 mph in cruise control, the vehicle began to stall. the vehicle also failed to increase speed when the contact depressed the accelerator pedal. the contact stated that the fuel gauge also failed simultaneously. the vehicle was not inspected or repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the incident and informed the contact that the vehicle was not listed under any recalls. the approximate failure mileage was 70,000.
I was driving down the highway, and the traction control light came on and the reduced engine power light came on. i drove a few miles further going about 65 miles and hour, and the engine died in the middle of the highway. i had to pull the car off the road with no power steering (i was still rolling thanks to momentum) so i wouldn't get hit by another car. after i sat on the side of the road for a few minutes, i was able to start it again and drive it about 10 miles back home. our repairman said the throttle motor signal came up when he plugged it in to the computer, so we spent the $280 to replace it. it worked fine for about 4 days, and then the traction light and and reduced engine power light came on again a few days ago. we've got it in the shop again and are waiting for the news as to what it is this time.
I was driving through a hilly/ curvy area of road when my reduced engine power, traction control, and throttle body disabled message popped up. just then i have no power, no brakes and no steering,at all! i almost crashed with my two kids in the car! upon looking up this issue i find that it is a very common issue in impalas. some people have had this issue while passing cars, or the freeways and more. to me this is quite a safety concern since you have no power to do anything...nothing at all. i don't see how there is still no recall on this issue when there are so many reported problems and a huge safety risk!! *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2009 chevrolet impala. the contact stated that while driving approximately 70 mph, the engine warning indicator illuminated then the engine stalled. the vehicle was able to be restarted 20 minutes later. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for diagnosis. the technician detected that the accelerator pedal, accelerator position sensor connector, and fuel vent solenoid was faulty. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 70,000.
This the second time this has happened. wife was driving down the freeway when traction control and check engine lights came on. car went into reduced power mode and finally died while still moving. lost power steering and finally brought car to a stop on left inside of expressway. after a short time she was able to restart the car and limp home. note that the cruise control was on, but i do not know if it was set. had the codes read that indicated a throttle position sensor caused the fault. there are two sensors which have to agree and if they don't car will go into reduced power mode. when she got home i found only the check engine light on. i have in the past moved the wires on the brake fluid sensor to get the check engine light to go off. not knowing exactly how all of these different systems are tied together, i tend to think that the cars computer is the problem which sets off all the different warning lights on the dash. i went to the chevy dealership and the service advisor asked if this was a recall issue. i thought this was some what strange. after reading complaints on the net i can see why she might have thought it was a recall issue. the throttle body part is $300 dollars plus labor rate of $105/hr. as of now i cannot find any recalls for this issue. nhtsa needs to look at this problem because the loss of steering with all systems due to motor stalling while in motion is a hazard to everyone. *tr
Was driving around 65 when out of no where the check engine light and traction control light came on and the reduce to power message started flashing on the dash it dropped my speed down from 65 to like 20 while on the freeway. *tr
During normal conditions warning lights flash "service traction control" along with abs light. there is a grinding noise in the front left side wheel. also seat belts light flash. already replaced accelerator pedal sensor. *tr
I am having problems with my 2009 chevy impala, it started at 43k, the acceleration pedal was changed when the reduced engine power/service traction control came on. then again at 100k same problem, this time the dealership told me it was a bad throttle position sensor, the throttle body needed to be changed. i changed it, but it came back again less then 3k miles. i replaced the throttle body again. 3k later same thing. the problem is when it is raining the throttle sensors go nuts. i took the car to advance auto and read the codes, same as before, p0121, p2176, throttle position sensor. once in a while you can remove the batter lines and unplug the throttle body and mass air flow sensor to get it to restart. other times you have to go to advance or autozone to clear the codes in order to get it to run long enough for a sunny day. i had one occurrence were the car would not start and it said service throttle position. the throttle sensor needs to be recalled before someone get killed. i have renamed my car to the ford impala. found on the road dead impala. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2009 chevrolet impala. the contact stated the accelerator pedal position sensor failed and called the vehicle to slow down to 40 mph. the contact stated that the traction control light illuminated on the instrument when the failure occurred. the sending unit was replaced and the vehicle began to perform normally. the dealer informed the contact this was a known problem. the failure and current mileage was 81,506. *tr
I was driving and the message loosing engine power and stability control system started flashing. the car started slowing down and i couldn't steer. i had someone look at it and they told me what was wrong. i also looked online and saw the many complaints and gm is aware. i parked the car until i am able to have it serviced. the issue seems to be a accelerator sensor switch malfunction. if i was going at a faster speed or was on the highway this could have cause an accident. i called gm and they stated they see no reported issues. *tr
While driving my 2009 chevrolet impala in a 55 mph zone, a series of warnings appeared on the dash: engine power reduced, service stabilitrak, check engine. immediately the car would not accelerate, and speed decreased to about 10 mph. *tr
Driving 65 on freeway car slows down to 40 check engine light says service traction control. *tr
Alarm came on that read service traction control - engine power reduced. i was trying to pass a semi-trailer with another car directly behind me. the engine suddenly went dead and another alarm read starting disabled. there was nothing i could do. if the car behind me had not noticed my car rolling to a stop i would have been rear ended and sent into the truck. this is a serious life-threatening situation and it needs to be addressed immediately. *tr
I recently purchased a chevrolet impala ltz 2009 model a few months ago and it has 82,000 on it. while driving on the highway my check engine light came on. it said that i had a bad accelerator sensor. followed by a flashing light that said my car had reduced engine speed. i have looked up many times about this issue with my car and many other people have had problems with a bad gas pedal. gm knows and i'm confused as to why they never asked for a recall on this. *tr
The first time my engine control lights turned on was when i was backing up out of a parking space. as time went by the lights started to come on continuosly. the lights kept telling me to service traction control. then the check engine light came on. i then took my car into friendly chevy in minnesota. they did 3000 dollars worth the work and never fixed the problem i went in for.the lights are still coming on and it scares the life out of me.. i paid 9,000 for it. also put in 3000.00 into it for repairs. what a piece of junk. i tried to take it back but they said there was nothing i could do about it except trade it in for 3000.00 less then what i paid for it.absolutely unacceptable!!! i will never buy another chevrolet again. terrible service. *tr
While accelerating after a stop at a red light the throttle lost responsiveness. the check engine light came on and three messages appeared on the dash board display. 1. 'service stabilitrack' 2. 'traction control malfunction' followed by 3. 'reduced engine power'. vehicle would not accelerate beyond 40mph. i was on a down ramp heading toward a highway with no breakdown lane available. very dangerous situation. next morning i brought the vehicle into a local chevrolet dealer and code p2138 revealed "accelerator pedal/sensor failure." repair cost $265. many other chevrolet owners complain of this same issue and the dangerous situation the acceleration loss causes. please see this edmunds.com blog with dozens of others complaining of this same issue. While driving. apprx 30-45mph. random service light appeared showed as "reduced power engine" vehicle then automatically slowed down. turns off without notice. un-safe. over 1500 reviews same situation same vehicle. *tr
While merging onto a two lane highway my impala suddenly lost power and i received a "low engine power" warning and then " service traction control" the check engine light comes on and the car runs roughly at reduced power - you need to pull over and shut the car off until you can start it again. this is a very dangerous issue that gm refuses to acknowledge. in this instance i had my daughter in the car - i also lost the power brakes. i have been to two chevrolet dealers and a buick dealer because this has happened several times over the past year and a half. they replaced my throttle body, oil sensor, battery and something else and charged me over $2000 for the three visits and i am still experiencing the issue. i have also been to a local repair shop and had the wiring harness changed and had several diagnostics done. after all this the problem still exists. i normally don't write letters but, this is a very dangerous situation and many others are experiencing the same thing based on the message boards i have read. my concern is that gm refused to help or issue a recall. my fear is that someone gets seriously hurt or killed before gm answers for this. this is not good for gm. my hope is that someone finally addresses this issue before someone is killed. in my last communication with gm - i was told to take my car to a dealer for a diagnostic at my own expense. so, basically i am on my own and they offered to do nothing. just not right! *tr
While driving on the highway at approximately 70 mph the car began to lose acceleration and dropped all the way down to 40 mph. the check engine light, service traction control, service stabilitrak, and reduced engine power message displayed as well. the car began shaking and would not accelerate. i had to pull off to the side of the highway and turn the car off to try and get the issue to subside. once back on the road, not more than 3 miles later the issue surfaced again. i ended up having to get off the highway and drive (very slowly) back to my house. not sure if it will be safe to drive back to the dealership to be addressed. i have replaced the wheel hubs and throttle pedal sensor in the past few years in an attempt to correct. this was an intermittent issue until recently and even after having it fixed by a certified chevrolet dealership, the issue occurred again. this most recent incident could have ended in serious injury had i not been lucky enough to not have any cars immediately around me. with the amount of consistent complaints about this particular issue with this particular model of car i hope it can be addressed. *tr
At about 60,000 miles, my 2009 chevy impala has an issue with the service traction control and then reduce engine power. i have read it is the throttle body and not covered under the extended warranty. *tr
I was driving 55mph 4/10/2013 then i go down to 40 and message sensor says engine low pressure or something like that so i took it to auto zone and they said throttle sensor make the check engine light come on now 4/27/2013 the light came on again now they saying the pedal sensor and the low engine pressure check engine light is on again. *tr
