Recently reported ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL problems on 2005 Chevrolet Corvette

The car is equipped with electric stability control. at speed on the freeway a warning sound occurs and the car swerves and some of the brakes come on and no brake lights are on. it is very dangerous and could cause me to have an accident. gm issued a tech bulletin 06-02-35-002b. current investigation #ea09-002. something has to be done here cause as these cars age the problem will continue to grow

Twice today my 2005 corvette temporarily locked its front left brake followed by giving me an "service active handleing" message. first time on the freeway after hitting a bump and 2nd going about 40mph. both times driving straight. after turning car off and on the message was gone. this is a serious issue and the dealers seem to deny any common issue with this although iv seen thousands of posts on the matter from other owners.

Making a u-turn or any extreme position of steering wheel rotation causes abs and service traction control lights to engage and forces a seizure if the brakes, locking them and preventing any kind of movement. the only solution to unlocking brakes through my experience is to shut off and restart the vehicle.

I was driving my vehicle at approximately 68 mph in a straight line on the highway. the road conditions were dry and cold. i was driving straight and did not hit any bumps in the road when suddenly i felt the steering pulling my car about 1/4 turn to the left and about a 1/2 turn to the right and brakes were applied, not by me. i then heard a chiming noise and saw an error code on my dash saying "service active handling system". i gained control of my vehicle and exited the highway. i read on many forums that other c6 owners, especially years '05-'06 have had this issue and that the defect may lie in the steering wheel position sensor connector. my vehicle is equipped with a telescoping steering wheel where this issue seems to arise.

If a sensor faults related to the "active handling system" the front driver side brake locks up. at that time it give a "service active handling" notice. this happens while at any speed in including at highway speed. the brake locks up completely for about one second before releasing. results in extremely hard pull to the left. vehicle had previous recall service performed but recall service does not prevent the lock up. date listed below is the last time as i had the service department disconnect the sensor to turn the system off upon starting the vehicle. this was done to eliminate fault that could result in a potentially fatal accident.

While driving 70+mph on an interstate, "reduced power mode" and "service active handling" warnings illuminated on the dic aong with the check engine light. the vehicle then completely shut off making it extremely dangerous to get safely out of the paths of other vehicles. this has happened to the vehicle about 8 times now in varying circumstances, mostly while in motion. error codes taken from handheld programmer include: p1516, p2101, p2135

I received a message on the information screen on the dash, it says service active handling system. is there a recall for this. what may happen, what do you recommend i do, i belong to a corvette forum here is the web address for the forum http://nhthqnwws111.odi.nhtsa.dot.go, https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c6-tech-performance-101/ https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c6-tech-performance/2336065-service-active-handling-consumer-action.html,, i was just driving down the road at 45 mph

The car suddenly veared to the left. it went into the other lane before i could correct it. the stability indicator then illuminated. the service bulletin has already been accomplished for this car.

Tl* the contact owns a 2005 chevrolet corvette. while reversing the vehicle at 5 mph, the service active handling sensor and traction control warning indicators illuminated. it was diagnosed that the body control module failed and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred two weeks later. the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 10v172000 (steering). the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 28,757.

Service active handling system message appears intermittingly, vehicle was in motion. didn't notice any handling issue but i am concerned that the car will behave in an unsafe manor.

While driving through a parking lot at roughly 10mph, my car jammed on the front left, then both front brakes, bringing me to a sudden stop. active handling was showing in the driver information cluster just like when your car loses traction for any reason... i thought this was very odd as it wasn't raining, no sand or fluids were present on the road in front of me, and i was barely touching the gas pedal. i then checked to see if i had run something over or if anything was jammed in the wheels/brakes.... nothing visible. i get back in, reverse just fine, but as soon as i shift back to first and attempt forward motion boom it jams the brakes on again. i then re-clutched, tried again with a little more gas, thinking maybe i do have something stuck under the car.... nope, it still brings me to a stop immediately. at this point, i was freaked out....(needless to say) i held the active handling (traction control) button down until the system was fully disabled, after doing this i was able to drive the car back to work. i then found out about the recall and called the dealer. they told me that this recall for active handling had been completed in 2010. i asked them to please verify this as i had a headlight recall to do anyways and scheduled an appointment. long story short... the service adviser told me that the previous repair had failed and that it needed to be done again. he then tells me that they do not have to fix my car because they already repaired it back in 2010 and that it would be up to me to cover the cost. after trying for over a week to convince them to do the right thing, i gave up and paid them for the repair. im very worried that this will also not hold up. if this repair failed in the past, who is to say that it wont happen again, and this time it could cause a crash, even death. please help, someone has to hold these people accountable.

I was driving on the freeway and active handling come on and the car swerve to the left almost causing a accident.

I purchased my car used with 29000 miles on it in july 2015. gm dealer stated that all recalls were incorporated. after having my vehicle serviced months later, the message : service active handling system appears on my display after readjusting my steering column. car was not in motion. i turned off the ignition and restarted the car. the message has not reappeared since, however the steering column has not been readjusted since either. is this possibly a faulty incorporation of the nhtsa recall notice 10v172000? i currently have 31450 miles on the odometer.

I was nearly involved in 2 accidents in the past week and i no longer feel safe driving my car. i have a 2005 chevy corvette which has very low mileage on it (~42,000) for how old it is. the problem i am experiencing exactly matches a recall listed for 2005 chevy corvettes however because my vin number does not list that recall chevy refuses to honor it. this recall: http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/defect/relateddefectssummary.cfm?rcl_id=10v172000&defectidlist=ea09002&moduletype=vehicles&type=vehicle below are brief summaries of the near accidents that occurred: 1. i was switching lanes in the city and the car locked the steering wheel, applied the breaks, did does not let me accelerate such that i was stuck in the middle of two lane and a car in the lane i was trying to change into nearly hit me and had to swerve around me. 2. i pulled out of the grocery store parking lot and the car did the same thing (locked the steering wheel /applied the breaks/reduced throttle). oncoming traffic turning onto the street once again nearly hit me as i could not accelerate or move the car without restarting it. this has also happened a few times to me while in the parking lot. the message, "service active handling system" appears on the dashboard when this happens. i would like to go on record stating that this is a problem in case future problem causes an accident. *tr

First occurrance was a month or two ago. we were exiting a parking lotat about 5mph when the car's active handling locked the right side brakes to where i could not keep the car straight. i could not accelerate without a heavy throttle to overcome the brakes. service active handling icon lit. i had to shut the car down for a minute then restart to clear the brakes. this has happened several times since, almost identically. the car was checked by the dealer but there were no stored codes for them to follow up on. apparently the "mechanics" cannot physically inspect cars anymore. recently and after the dealer serviced the car, it has happened several more times with my wife driving. it is back at the dealer as we speak. we are both beginning to be worried about our safety and that of other motorists.

This incident happened 4 or more times. however, this last time, i was traveling at 75 miles per hour on the i95. the traction control system light came on and then the car engine died on me as has happened on a number of other occasions. i was in the left lane on the highway. lucky for me there were no vehicles behind or to the right of me so i was able to coast to a dead stop on the safe side of the road shoulder (right). the car normally would start again after this system failure. this time it did not and i had to have it towed to the nearest garage which was a ford dealership. this could have been very serious had it not been for light traffic. i have had the vehicle service a number of times at gm dealerships for the engine light being on. the issue is still unresolved. i no longer have confidence in the vehicle as to its drivability and safety.

I purchased my 2005 corvette c6 convertible used last year. the service active handling light and message comes up often when i drive the car. the code goes away if i turn the car on and off. if i hit a bump in the road the service active handling comes on again. i have not noticed any handling issues. i read the corvette forum and a thread sent me to this site. is there a recall that gm should have fixed on my corvette? if yes, will the recall hold up considering the age of the vehicle? please advise how i should proceed. thanks, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

2005 c6 service active handling failures repeatedly. multiple previous activation of active handling but always at low parking lot speeds never created a real safety issue until today it activated driving 45 mph in a straight line, front right brake was activated causing a hard pull to the right and nearly put me up onto a busy pedestrian sidewalk. fortunately, no one was walking at the time. dealer serviced car 3 times and unable to correct. car unsafe to drive until corrected. please advise of options and corrections. *tr

Just as leaving dealership for low beam recall, 2 miles, used cruise to 35 mph, 10 clicks of button to 45, then again to 55. when car reached 55, i felt the car nose forward like i cut cruise w/ tap of brake. i did not. warning light/ cruise disengaged, still looking at dic car nosed down and squatted with warning light reduced power, this caused the car to slow to 35 and feel as though i was pumping the gas and brake alternately like when we were kids and used to watch the wife's head go back and forth. before getting off road more lights and warnings. its hard to say which came first, it all was happening fast and as a surprise. i know service active handling, traction control and abs messages came on. don't think they took priority over the reduced engine power though. i remember seeing it, all the way back to the dealer. slowed and pulled into huge lot. now it was my head doing the back and forth dance with the car @ idle, it sounded like the main bearings weren't getting any oil and wanted out of that engine at any cost. so upset with the bearing noise, i got back on the road (picking up rpms) headed back to dealer in a limp mode (35 mph) even when the posted speed went down to 25 mph, the car did not lower rps as i pressed harder on the brakes. there is more to complain about but that will remain between the service manager, gm, and myself to resolution. stayed at dealership approx. 10 minutes. car started fine and i left.i always drive the same, and when the car reached 55 mph at the exact same place, it all happened again the exact same way! had to bring the car home in limp mode, about 10 miles from home. again @ 35 mph. car remains parked, put away, and covered, until the dealership contacts me to return with it, by tuesday of this coming week, so sayeth the gm rep. if not he wants me to call him back. *tr

My car starts starts beeping rapidly, my heads up display says to check gauges, my driver information center says "service active handling system". this has happened approximately 6 times since the first time in november. i just started hearing stories about this in the online forums, and that there have been systems that have caused accidents. is it safe to drive this car? i have scheduled an appointment with my local dealer for this and another recall notice about my low beam headlights failing.

A strong fume odor enter my house as if something was burning, my corvette was in my garage it hasnt been used in more than 3days.....i noticed it was coming from the bottom of the car, and in effect it was! contacted my mechanic and he advised me that it was the abs system caught on fire damaging the conector, module and regulator. he found a leak of brake fluid thru the modulator that cause the modules cables burned the connector. had to change all the abs system since chevrolet modified the previous abs system cause it was defective. however no recall has been made to this system. an aprox $3500. in repairs for a system that they know is defective. we were lucky nothing else in our garage/house got damage it was an scary situation.

Traction system error on dic, shut off traction control and reset it to on. error went away. i have had the steering wheel position switch changed and problem still exists. defect investigations summary make: chevrolet model: corvette year: 2005-2008 nhtsa action number: pe08056 summary: on september 17, 2008, odi opened preliminary evaluation pe08-056 to investigate allegations of inappropriate activation of the electronic stability control (esc) system in model year (my) 2005 and 2006 chevrolet corvette vehicles. some reports received by odi and some reports to general motors (gm) contained in gm's response to pe08-056 allege that the esc system malfunctioned causing a sudden and inappropriate braking action without illumination of the brake lights and causing the vehicle to swerve left or right unexpectedly. gm issued a technical service bulletin in january 2006, later revised in october 2007 (bulletin no. 06-02-35-002b) concerning esc problems in my 2005 and 2006 chevrolet corvette vehicles with the telescoping steering wheel option. the bulletin was intended to correct a fretting corrosion problem with the steering wheel position sensor connector c202. an engineering analysis has been opened (ea09-002) to continue to asses the scope, frequency, and safety-related consequences of the alleged defect. *tr

Taking a freeway exit ramp, turning right, warning light came on displaying "service active handling system. *tr

turned the steering wheel completely. "service stability control" message appeared. brakes applied automatically and pulled hard to the right. i could not steer. turned car off the middle of the street. car was "normal" until the steering wheel get turned completely. scared it will happen at highway speeds. *tr

I was making a right turn into my neighborhood at approx. 20 mph when right front brake locked up and vehicle swerved to the right. vehicle would lock up every time i tried to go therefore i had to cut ignition off and restart. this has occurred now three times and each time the brakes locked up and vehicle swerved to the right each time and would not go! i was traveling at a low rate of speed on each occurrence and was making a right turn on each occurrence. we took the car to youman's chevolet in macon ,ga after the first incident and the charges to investigate the problem were going to be so outlandish that we did not pursue. they did not even consider checking to see if there could be a recall on this problem or any other problems we have gone to them with during the last seven years. at that point, we went to a car repair place that we use frequently on all of our vehicles and have a good relationship with. they ran a diagnostic test on the car to check for an error code on the computer but nothing showed up. the technician said that it has not done this enough times to register the problem yet. since that time, we generally drive with the traction system off when driving in town as it is somewhat scary when the situation occurs. this has not happened to date when the traction system is off and has also not happened when traveling at a higher rate of speed. *tr

Was driving at highway speed and active handling message showed up in the dic on the instrument panel seconds later the antilock brakes seemed to lock on one side only and tried to pull steering wheel out of my hands i was able to get the vehicle off the road and after cycling the ignition switch the notice went away and the vehicle operated normally again. *tr

While making a slow speed right turn, the right front brake grabbed and the "service active handling" warning was displayed on the dash. turning off the engine and re-starting cleared the message. *tr

While making a left hand turn from a stopped position the right front brakes started to pulse and grab not allowing me to accelerate more than a crawl. warning light on dash traction control / active handling illuminates. i was able to limp out of the intersection and come to a stop in a parking lot. with the steering wheel and wheels straight, i again tried to accelerate but the brakes still grabbed. i put the car in park and tried turning off the traction control and active handling by pressing the button on the center arm rest area. still showing the same message and still not driving correctly. i then shut off the car and restarted. back to normal driving. two days later while turning left again, but this time while going 10 mph, i felt the brakes again start to pulse and grab but it corrected itself without me having to restart the car. i do have power telescoping wheel that does retract every time i exit the car. i brought it in to van chevy today but they found no codes and did say the clip that was installed as part of a recall was still in place. other than replacing the steering wheel position sensor they do not know what to do or what is wrong. i have had many gm cars before but this issue really scares me. *tr

Several times while i am driving the front tires will lock up, making my car turn sharply either to the left or the right, or when i am making turns, this brings me to a complete stop. the computer tells me to service the active handling system, well i looked into it and gm had a recall on this, the service bulletin number is tsb-06-02-35-002b. i contacted gm and they said that the recall on my vehicle was accomplished, well, (if it was) it is not working as it was intended to work. i cannot drive this vehicle because it is unsafe !!! do you think gm has said this was completed, but wasn't!! i do not want to tamper with my car, because if it was not corrected i would need proof, is there somewhere i can go to see if this sb was in fact completed? gm said to take it to a dealer, i called the dealer, but they we not aware of any problems like this, so i sure don't want to go back to them, just to have them charge $ me for something that they said that they have accomplished already, or if it was accomplished it did not correct the problem. can you help, because i can not put the vehicle on the road, and take the chance of hurting someone!! *js

I experienced symptoms similar to the service active handling recall. it was raining, and a "service active handling" message appeared on my driver information center (dic) display. the active handling trouble light illuminated on the dash. the car started missing and was running rough, like it wanted to stall. then the service engine soon light illuminated and a "reduced engine power" message appeared on the dic. both messages flashed alternatively and continued to do so until i pulled to the side of the road and stopped. i shut the car off and restarted it; the messages did not clear, the service engine soon light was still illuminated, and the car was still running rough. i was able to limp the car home (15 miles) safely. once i pulled into my garage, i shut the car off and then restarted it. the engine idled smoothly then. the brakes did not activate as is common with other corvettes covered under the recall. my vin is also not one that is covered under the recall, but i seem to have many of the same symptoms, and my car is equipped with the tilt and telescoping steering column. i called gm and was told my car is not covered by the recall. how do i know that when i can find no publication of the vins included anywhere? your investigation number: ea09-002 gm recall number: 10118 apr 10 *tr

About every day while driving my corvette. the service active handling light will come. and my brakes will start jerking. also the air bag light keeps coming on and going off the whole time i drive it. i have seen many other people having the same problems with there 05 corvettes. something needs done about this. gm needs to step up and recall for these problems before someone really gets hurt.. please help. *tr

I was leaving a parking space when the front brakes applied own their own causing the car to completely stop. i also heard some grinding which i believe to be the brakes. i had the car towed to the local chevy dealership, after two days they could not find anything wrong. *tr

Service active handling light came on the dash and brakes lights were stuck on and after a while they stopped turning on, which almost caused a truck to crash into my car on the highway, the braking system still worked however the lights are erratic, which also caused the car to be stuck in park every time i turn it on now. *tr

Service active handling system warning comes on brakes randomly lock. *tr

I have been experiencing the "service active handling system" error message for more than 2 years. serpentini chevrolet in strongsville ohio has looked at the problem numerous times and have been unable to resolve it. this is very frustrating, the recall service was performed for the telescopic steering wheel years ago! when the accelerator is depressed to the floor the vehicle throws the "service active handling system" message. this only occurs during rapid acceleration when high speed driving is experienced. please note the below data and help me resolve this. 2005-2008: service bulletin: stabilitrak/active handling light on, service stabilitrak/active handling message on dic subject: stabilitrak/active handling light on, service stabilitrak/active handling message on dic, dtc c0710 steering wheel position sensor (swps) signal set (install clip in swps connector) #06-02-35-002b - (10/19/2007) models: 2004-2008 cadillac xlr 2005-2008 chevrolet corvette with steering wheel - tilt, telescoping (rpo n37 or n38) condition: some customers may comment on a stabilitrak or active handling system light being illuminated. also, this warning light will be accompanied by a service stabilitrak or service active hndlg message on the dic. diagnosis with a scan tool may reveal a dtc c0710. *tr

I was driving on the highway service handling traction system light came on and car went to right and l ran in a ditch 11000 dollars in damage and not one air open. *tr

Went out to drive my 2005 corvette, turned into an office park to turn around and the front brake(s) applied on their own and the engine reduced power.i also heard some "grinding" which i believe were the brakes engaging, felt like i was driving thru "molasses".this is a known issue--nhtsa action number either pe08056 or ea09-002.i had the message "service active handling" on my dash before but no brake locking..very un-nerving.i shut the car down and turned off the traction control and it resolved for now.i will be contacting chevrolet for recall considerations and hopefully some resolution.thank god for "corvette forums" or i wouldn't of known about this.-thankyou. During freeway travel the vehicles "service active handling" message appeared and the vehicle brakes seized and pulled to the left causing me to almost hit a concrete barrier. the dealership claims that the recall was performed but the car still has this very dangerous condition. *tr

Service stability control system llights came on and off multiple times, when i got home the brakes were completely locked up. i have rebuilt the braking system, calipers, rotors and pads and re bled the system and cannot move the car. keep getting message to servivce the system. the local dealer just recently put a clip inside the steering wheel under a gm callback. *duplicate to 10459099*smch *tt

I was driving my car on the freeway and was changing lanes and when i changed gears to accelerate, all of a sudden i got a "service active handling" message appear out of nowhere and i felt my car jerk a little bit while driving. i did take the car in before to have a clip (service recall) placed on my steering wheel to prevent the message from coming, but it now seems like it only comes when i accelerate too quickly at freeway speeds. champion chevrolet in houston (off beltway 8) has seen this car multiple times for this message in the past, yet i still get it occassionally. i just want my car to be safe. *tr

Traveling on interstate highway with cruise control on at 68 mph the left front brake locked up causing car to turn left and rear end start to swing around. a moment later brake is released and i regain control of vehicle. chime and light on dash go on and stated "service active handling". the next day i took vehicle to local dealer they advised i needed a steering wheel position sensor and a yaw sensor for a cost of $1100.00. my concern is after i replace these sensors what happens the next time they fail and a front brake locks up. shouldn't this be a fail safe system. when it fails a light should come on to warn me but not try to wreck me. contacted chevrolet customer service and they then put me in touch with the local chevrolet district office. all i got from them was they cut the estimate to $550.00. they would not address the safety factor of locking one front wheel. there was a recall last year with the same symptoms of one front brake locking. i had the car serviced last year for this. it dealt with wiring in the steering column. they put a clip on it to stop chaffing. dealer said this is not related to my current problem. *tr

Car spun the back tires when making a right hand turn in front of on coming traffic. what happened next was i took my foot off the gas pedal and corrected the car at the same time the active handing applied the front brakes to lockup and would not disengage. i messed with the brake pedal for about 30 seconds & they disengages & i went about 200 feet going straight & the right front brake applied to lockup & the same thing i had to mess with the brake pedal & it released. i never shut the car off & as i resumed driving i could feel the steering was not right it felt like the variable assist steering though the car was going way fast (the steering was way to heavy). i went about 2 miles like this and it did not change. i pulled over & shut the car off & restarted it & the problem was gone. as this was happening the dic was displaying service active handling. that was the only time this has happened to me. it has not happened again. nothing has been done to fix it yet. *tr

Initially car was intermittently not starting. dic indicator stated steering wheel was "locked". on march 11, 2011, i was driving through a parking lot the steering wheel locked up while i was driving the vehicle. upon my research 1997-2004 models were recalled for this issue. models 2006-2010 the feature - "steering column lock" was not installed on the cars. my concern is 2005 models have not been recalled and could cause possible deaths of owners and or other members of the public.

The product safety recall # n100118 "service active handling system" calls for a clip to be installed to fix the problem. in some cases that does not fix the problem. i had the clip replaced and still continued to have the recall problem. i took the car back in and now i was told by the dealer that my steering wheel position sensor was bad (swps) and that's not covered under the recall and i will have to pay the $385.00 to have it replaced. to me that is unacceptable! gm needs to stand behind there product because this is a very dangerous situation and the 2cent clip is not the fix all. the recall needs to be modified to include the swap as was noted in the auto trend article when gm said they would perform the repairs "likely involving the swaps or its connector free of charge". i guess its all about the mighty dollar. way to go gm i guess somebody has to get killed before you will correct your mistake. *tr

2005 / c6 corvette, service active handling message displayed, searched internet and found information about wiring connector clip for steer wheel sensor, went to dealer and picked up and installed the comb for the connector and fixed wiring harness so it would not move when steering column was cycled in & out . this didn't fix the problem, when going to work at about 40 mph and turning left a little the left front brake deployed and pulled me in to the left on coming lane. i took the car to a gm dealer the tech read the codes and said it needed a new steering wheel sensor he installed the new sensor and said that should fix it after about one or two days the service active handling message came on again so i started turning off the traction control and active handling, after some time i forgot too turn off a/h a couple of times and found it wasn't flagging active handling message any more then went on a road trip and got into the wake up bumps on the edge of the road this started it to turn on a/h message again, while at my destination and going for breakfast one morning and not turning off the a/h the car did the left front brake thing again and put me in the oncoming lane again . this car is very dangerous. i will take to dealer again. i still have the old steering wheel sensor. *ln

Upon complition of the recall servicing my car would not start the car's digital imformation center said service colume lock.....this problem was created by the dealership that performed the recall now for the last few months when ever i excellerate quickly i get an service active handling message and the brakes do apply and i get an unstable ride for a short period of time, after i come to a stop and cut the motor off the (dic) digital imformation center will no longer show the message. as a result of the recall servicing i have had constance errow messages stating....service colume lock, and service active handling. when the massage center reads service colume lock the car won't start, these problems started immeadily after the recall servicing. please advised me of what can be done to correct this most distrubing problem....the dealership is not owning the problem they surely caused. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6) *tt

Driving down two lane road brake locks jerking me almost into oncoming traffic. active handling system goes on and off without me depressing button, brakes lock without reason. brake lights stay on constantly. saw recall and took to chevrolet dealership. they said everything was fine. still does it. *tr

Service active handling system light came on, system applied right front brake causing the car to swerve and turn abruptly to the right. luckily there was no other car in the next lane.

I own a 2005 chevrolet corvette that i purchased from a gmc dealership as a certified pre-owned vehicle. the car was purchased on 05/22/2010. approximately 2 weeks later i saw a warning on the dashboard indicating "service active handling system". i contacted the dealership closest to where i work and made an appointment to bring the vehicle in for a recall that was supposed to address the issue. the work was completed on 06/15/2010. on 07/09/2010, and 07/11/2010, the warning reappeared. i brought the vehicle in for service on 07/12/2010 but the service department was unable to repair it at that time because no "codes" were being found indicating a problem. i understand, through researching the problem on the internet that there is a possibility of brakes locking up due to this problem, and this causes me concern. they are still going to try to rectify the problem and are very cooperative at this time. i believe there is a current investigation under investigation number ea09-002. i also understand that the recall is not correcting the problem, as it did not do so in my car, nor has it been effective in others that i have found through the internet. at this time i have not had an issue with brakes locking, it is only the dashboard warning at this time. *tr

Corvette 2005, c-6 = service active handling system light keeps coming on, no body seems to figure this out why it does it. *tr
