While driving, specifically when making turns at various speeds, the steering wheel would get jammed up and be almost impossible to turn back to complete a turn/get straightened out. happens on both left and right turns. first happened about 2 weeks ago, just one time while exiting my driveway. i turned the engine off and back on and it seemed to go away. it is now very clear that it is mechanical in nature, somewhere close to the steering wheel in the console. i have an appointment next week with the dealership, i will update with the findings.

I just left work, my truck was parked for 8, hrs. after 3, minutes of driving the service stability track light came on. after a couple mins. i turned down a major highway and then the following warning lights came on: check engine, low fuel ( it was half full), traction control, drive with caution, strearing assist off. the electrical panel went crazy and i lost power to the engine. i pulled over and called chevy roadside assist. they towed the truck to cox chevrolet, where i purchased the vehicle brand new only a year ago. they could not duplicate the issue and i had to drive it back home. this is clearly a malfunction. i do not feel safe driving the it.

While the vehicle is in motion i get e rattle thought my steering column down into my peddle,. i cann fell the rattle through the intermediate steering shaft. it happens alot more on rough roads, for example my drive way is gravel, everytime i come home into my driveway i feel the rattle. it doesn't feel like my tires, bur more so my whole steering shaft. you can also see the shake in the steering wheel if you look closely at it. i have addressed this with my dealership and told them i don't feel comfortable driving it. but they told me they couldn't recreate the nosie so they couldn't even check the steering shaft for me. i don't feel safe. and i want a recall for this.

Brand new 2018 midnight edition chevy colorado less than 24hrs on the engine and had less than 900 miles on it. went to go to work one morning and it wouldn't do anything. no revere. no power steering. all lights and gauges were flickering and going crazy. engine was chugging and making odd noises.it would not move from my garage/driveway. had it towed it to nearest dealership. over 2 weeks of diagnostics it's either a steering module or a wiring harness part. dealership tells us its faulty wiring/steering module. it is an intermittent issue and it's hard to diagnose. i really feel that this could cause many safety issues since power steering was completely out and it wanted to shut off on us. this could have been bad if it happened while we were driving it to work. the dealership we purchased it from had done some electrical work but did not disclose what was done until it quit working and was brought to a different dealership. they brought it to our attention when it was towed in. the wiring that was done before purchase is what's causing all issues electronically. truck is currently in the shop waiting for a part that is on backorder. waiting for paperwork after repairs are completed. if they can be completed. they're still trying to fully understand the electrical issues since it is so random. it has been in their shop for over 2 weeks now. i just want someone to be aware of these issues incase it needs to be recalled. this could be a scary issue if it happens while driving.

Tl* the contact owns a 2018 chevrolet colorado. while driving various speeds, the steering wheel seized and the steering assist warning indicator illuminated. the contact had to use extra strength to operate the vehicle. the contact stated that the failure occurred periodically. the vehicle was towed to vic koenig chevrolet (1040 e main st, carbondale, il 62901, (618) 529-1000) where it was diagnosed that there was a loose bolt in the electric power steering system. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 9,242.

Upon accelerating the vehicle onto a 3 lane road, all warning lights came on in the vehicle. a warning message presented on the dashboard stating "engine power reduction" and then the vehicle shut down completely while moving. the engine shut off and the vehicle would not disengage from park. vehicle had to be towed from the location. at the dealership, the dealer informed me the engine throttle body and intake tube duct hose should be replaced. he also informed me gm is aware of this issue with the vehicle and has not developed a permanent fix for the issue.
