Ignition key remains stuck after vehicle is in placed in "park". key will not release from the ignition, leaving vehicle in "acc" mode. need to continuously restart and reshift vehicle to eventually release the key. have personally spent upwards of 20 minutes trying to release key. have taken to a certified chevy dealer 2 times, with no success. the dealer indicates chevy "is aware of the situation, but has no recall at this time." multiple online posting indicate it is a problem happening to numerous people.

The transmission is shuddering frequently and the shifts are very harsh between first and second and the second down to first. especially when accelerating and the transmission is upshifting or decelerating and the transmission is downshifting , this conditions had put me at risk in traffic light stops of intersections because i cant accelerate fast because it jerks and when i stop quick it jerks ,

Temperature gauge runs up to 210 degrees when stopped or idle at different times

About half dozen times my key would turn off the engine but not the dash (radio, light etc) then would not turn far enough so i could remove the key. after restarting and shifting through the gears a couple of times it would turn off as it should and i could remove the key. this does not happen all the time but is a pain when your not sure if you will get the key out at the store.

Takata recall. i noticed while driving when sun light is very bright around 3or 4 pm when glare hits the anti- collision sensor when it brakes for you it's happened a few times and i'm not even close to a car it activates on it's own. also when cars are parked and ur turning the sensor also goes off it's own even though i'm not close to another car.

Rear differential making loud poping noices when engaged. sounds like metallic metal to metal catching and grinding. specially when switching from backing up to driving forwards again. is could result in the differential locking up.

The transmission does not downshift from a high gear (5 or 6) to a lower gear when slowing down from 45 mph to 20 mph (or lower). when the accelerator is depressed to accelerate the engine bucks, vibrates, and does not accelerate. the engine rpm drops to 1,000 rpm or lower. if the accelerator is quickly floored the transmission downshifts several gears lower and jerks forward. this condition happens primarily on secondary roads while driving along the road and when pulling from one road into traffic on another road. the situation when pulling into traffic is dangerous because the truck does not accelerate as it should. this truck was purchased new and has 14,500 miles on it. this condition has been present since the truck was new and the severity varies with truck speed and road inclination.

On february 21, 2017 while making a right turn, my 2016 chevrolet colorado 4wd crew cab turned itself off. on february 22, 2017 richard lucas chevrolet looked at the vehicle for 5 hours an drove the vehicle around several times and were "unable to duplicate concern." i was told to call back if the issue ever popped up again, but it was believed to be unlikely. march 28, 2017 while driving home from work, my colorado ignition made a click noise, and the ignition key turned itself off yet again. this time around was much different than the first occurrence as i had no brakes to stop the vehicle. to stop the vehicle i had to shift into park which i was able to do. vehicle will be returning to the richard lucas auto center to be reevaluated. on the first occurrence the vehicle was in motion on a county road while completing a turn and the second time it happened while going straight on a residential street.

Vehicle has built in feature of hill assist that is overriding driver. decides to stop or speed up on hills at will and lags and won't register what the driver is doing for quite some time. hills are very dangerous with this vehicle and gm refuses to address the issue and debug the software to fix it. there are hundreds of complaints and still nothing. it's has created an issue to where i couldn't stop on multiple occasions, and luckily i was able to avoid and vehicles and pull off the road after placing the vehicle in neutral. the only way to override the feature is when you are in cruise control. i have had to shut the vehicle off to gets the engine to stop revving forward and have taken it to dealer multiple times. it is not safe for me or anyone near the truck.

Heating system does not work, no defog or de frost available which can result in loss of forward visibility, recall has been issued, vehicle has been in for correction, was stated as corrected, was not, heating system does not work, repurchase of the vehicle has been requested since the heating system does not work, cannot be corrected, is a serious safety issue

Takata recall 2016 chevy colorado 4 wheel drive with 3.6 eng i have 815 miles on truck and having down shift problems transmisson will not down shift between 45 and 20 mph at times it doe this when you are pressing lightly on the gas peddle in slow traffic or at times going up small high and this will cause the truck to not go fast enough to get out of the way of other traffic.when you press the gas peddle the truck jerks and shutters i was told by service dept at dealership where i purchased the truck that gm had a service bulletin out about this problem and they would try to fix the problem but the service dept were not sure they could fix it.

My 2016 chevy colorado crew cab z71 4x4 vibrates at highway speed. the dealership has replaced one tire, balanced x 3 and rotated and road force tested. the problem persists. i was told by the service manager that because i bought an off road truck with all season tires it will vibrate above 70 mph. i feel it in my seat, it appears to be coming from the rear of the truck. the empty passenger seat visually vibrates. it started after the first oil change and tire rotation at 6000 miles.

When going down hill the transmission downshifts hard and jerks you forward. you cannot accelerate again until it hits 10mph then it is hard to get the acceleration going again. this could cause an accident if someone is close behind you especially a big truck that cannot stop quickly. when you are accelerating on a hill it does not want to go and you have push the accelerator down the entire way and then jerks forward and takes off. this happens all of the time going downhill and up hills. i have 24,000 miles on my truck now and it has happened since i purchased the truck.

I bought this truck on 9/25/15.on 9/30/15 there was heavy down pour, and there was big puddle of water under the drivers floor mats, the passenger floor mats, and behind the drivers mats.also the left vent had a broken piece that was on the floor.
