UPS will be holding it’s 2008 Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show on
Saturday, October 18th. With over 1000 cars registered last year, we
continue to add more to an already busy day at UPS. Dash plaques to the
first 500 vehicles, over 130 awards given out in over 30 award
categories. Dyno competition, live bands all day, magic and illusionist
show, comedy, Halloween Custome contest and Trick or Treat trail for the
kids, Moon Bounces, Carnival Rides and Games, Monster Trucks and much,
much more. All proceeds benifit the United Way. Come join us for a fun

This is an ALL FORD bodied/powered event to support the Southern Maryland Food Bank,and the Greyt Expectations Greyhound Adoption program. $25.00 registration fee, discounted pre-registration fee available. All entrants must also provide non-perishable food item or cash donation to the Southern Maryland Food Bank on event day. Trophies will be awarded! Food vendor, D.J., Ronald McDonald at the show. As cars and motorcycles line the streets of Baltimore’s Harbor East, the Concours D’ Elegance will feature a downtown festival atmosphere with live entertainment, food, shopping, and other activities. All proceeds will benefit The Children’s Guild. More event details and car registration information can be found at http://www.childrensguild.org.

Afternoon driving tour for antique “orphan” (discontinued-make) vehicles, with visits to two private car collections along the tour route. Sponsored by local Packard, Hudson, Studebaker, AMCRC and DeSoto clubs. Meet at American Legion, 4600 Legion Lane, 12 Noon to 1:00 PM. Cars released on tour between 1 - 1:30 PM. Optional buffet dinner 6 PM (reservations due by May 25). Per-car fee $8. See website for more information.

Location Information: Port Deposit, Maryland Car show is located right off the Susquehanna River in the parking lot of the V.F.W.. Boating & fishing is close by. Car Show registration starts at 10am. $10 pre-registration by September 13th, / $13 day of show.( Rain date September 27) Spectators are free. Awards given after ballots are counted. 8 classes of vehicles. 16 Trophies plus 1 Best of Show and, new this year, V.F.W. Post 8185 Commander’s Choice Award. Voting is 50% registered vehicles and 50% spectators. All vehicles of interest are welcome: Street Rods, Classics, Trucks, Customs, Pro-Street. Dash plaques given to first 40 cars registered!!! Price includes 1 free hot dog and 1 free soda or beer. Lots of Door Prizes, Raffles & 50/50. Refreshments and food available. Music provided by DJ. Entertainment in the V.F.W. Includes 2 pool tables and 5 slot machines, plus wide screen TV to watch sports,etc. and a juke box. The VFW is a non-profit charity which supports our veterans and also local charities, including scholarship programs for local high schools.
