Brayden Jacobs is less than 2 years old and had a near drowning accident. He requires treatments that his insurance won’t cover. We are hosting a car show to raise money to help. Live Music, Goody Bags, 50/50 drawing that includes lots of additional prizes to be won! All classes of cars, trucks and motorcycles. Awards for top 50 and Best of Show. 8am - 2pm

HOT RODS ‘N HEELS RADIO, FREEDOM TRACK RECORDS and KUSTOM THRILLS TATTOO are teaming up to sponsor a Cruise In & Concert to benefit RADIO FREE NASHVILLE, Nashville’s community radio station (98.9 WRFN-LPFM). Hundreds of local car enthusiasts will show off their rides and enjoy great music, all in support of community radio. Performers include rockabilly artists Freddie Lewis; Ghetto Billy; Rocket 350; as well as the all girl rock band Kymystry; Country Sensation Liz Kilgo; and RumbleClub.
The Cruise In and Concert benefit will be held Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the French Quarter Cafe, 823 Woodland Street in East Nashville. The Cruise In starts at 4:00pm, with music starting at 5:00pm and continuing till the wee hours. Tickets are $15 for the Cruise In and Concert, $10 for the concert only. Door prizes including a gift certificate for a free free tattoo from KUSTOM THRILLS TATTOO will be awarded.
Radio Free Nashville broadcasts in the west Nashville area at 98.9-FM, on the web at http://www.radiofreenashville.org and on cable via the SAP of iQTV cable channel 10. HOT RODS ‘N HEELS RADIO airs on RFN on Tuesdays from 8:00-10:00pm.
Radio Free Nashville provides Nashville’s only programming dedicated to examining health care in Tennessee; teaching fire safety; discussing immigration; introducing children to music; teaching owners how to outwit their dogs; and more, plus every imaginable kind of music, from zydeco and blues to smooth jazz and chorale, all produced and hosted by local community programmers. Over 150 community members have been trained to produce and host shows, and 80 are currently on the air.
In addition, Radio Free Nashville broadcasting courses have been added to the curricula of four area high schools. And Radio Free Nashville is partnering with the Oasis Center to provide a radio production facility in the new Oasis Youth Opportunities Center, opening in September of 2008.

John W. Rice President of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Appalachian Region announced today: The first annual – “Cruising to The Border Car Show” to take place in Bristol, Virginia,Tennessee on Saturday April 19th 2008 10AM to 3PM at the State Street location of TriSummit Bank parking area just across from the historic Bristol train station. Rice says that the event which is co-sponsored by TriSummit Bank and Downtown merchants will be a fund raiser for the United Way of Bristol. Cars 25 years old and older will compete for awards and trophies while the public can see and enjoy the cars of yesterday.
