The low beam headlights are very inadequate for night time driving. it appears that the intensity of the low beams are the same as when they are used for daytime driving lights. the high beams function normally. i have tried to use the low beams in both the automatic and manual mode, still very low light. replaced both low beam bulbs to no avail.

Suv low beam lights don't illuminate the roadway. driving from florida to maryland, i was unable to see the roadway markings unless they had reflective strips. rainy weather makes it impossible to see at all. oncoming headlights make staying on the roadway nearly impossible. this defect causes the driver to use high beams making it dangerous for oncoming traffic.

The headlight seal is leaking allowing water to enter. i've replaced 1 and now the other 1 is leaking

Low beam headlights are useless. they only light up one car length. i see others have complained also. we have the "luxury" model with the halogen lights. i see this as a safety factor. there was no accident, i just don't feel comfortable driving this car at night due the poor lighting. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 cadillac srx. the contact stated that the front driver and passenger side headlights did not illuminate brightly due to moisture within the headlight assembly. the contact took the vehicle to the original unknown local dealer where they removed the headlights and added a protective coating; however, the remedy failed. the vehicle was taken to another local dealer (thompson buick gmc cadillac, 2600 wake forest rd, raleigh, nc, 27609) to be serviced for a separate recall and the contact informed them of the moisture in the headlight. the dealer stated that the moisture caused a film and the diagnosis would be to remove and replace the headlight structure reseal. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided case number: 83169952152. the manufacturer advised the contact to take the vehicle to be diagnosed. there were no open recalls for the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 68,000.

Driving lights went dull. the lense and reflector turned yellow. we had to replace both lights.

] leaking headlights! (water, condensation, moisture, etc)

When driving at night my low beams shine very very very dim very dangerous to drive at night i looked online and other people are having the same problem with the same year make and model

Water is getting into the head lights on both sides of my car

Vehicle headlamps went out totally within 2 days after moisture and condensation appeared behind protective clear sealed covers. left side went out while vehicle was in motion, right side was out when i arrived for service the next day. i was charged $1354.47 by cadillac to replace all components on each side, including new clear covers and seals. i checked online and this is a known issue. when i picked my vehicle up from cadillac dealership, there were several cadillacs lined up, all with moisture behind the clear lens covers. i could not drive my vehicle at night until this repair was completed.

The low beam headlights are extremely dim, unable to drive safely at night at all. i have replaced the bulbs, but there is not enough power going to the headlights. i think this is due to faulty headlights that allow moisture to get in and have damaged the lighting housing.

Front headlight assemblies are defective and allow condensation to build up behind lens causing headlights to be less effective and eventually short out electrical system. this condition has occurred twice (on both front passenger and drivers side) since i purchased this vehicle in 2014, most recently while driving home on the highway at night nearly causing an accident. these defective headlight assemblies are very dangerous and should be addressed, via a recall, by cadillac asap. an internet search on this issue revealed hundred of similar complaints and i suspect cadillac is well aware of this defective part.

Low beams are too dim. when i'm on roads that do not have reflective stripes i can't see the sides of the road. this is particularly dangerous when approaching oncoming traffic.

General motors have agreed they have problems with issues of moisture accumulating in their headlight capsules on 2010-2015 srx's. gm has agreed only to reimburse customers in ca and fl due to suits brought against them by these 2 states. i called gm and was advised my vin # was not on the reimbursement list because it was made in ca or fl. i have paid a total of $2030.22 to have my headlights repaired from moisture. the first one was covered under warranty, so only had to pay $473.22 on 10/07/15. the second one was replace 8/4/2017 for $1,557.00. *js

I've had my car for a little over a month and honestly cannot see anything with the headlights. when i flip them over to brights, they illuminate the roadway perfectly. once i go back to normal lighting, nothing is lit. i've pulled over a couple of times to make sure the lights were actually on and nothing was covering the headlights. i am very afraid that an accident will occur because i can't see the roadway in front of me. please advise if this is being looked into. *tr

The headlights when on dim are so dim you cannot see to drive. have replaced bulbs but doesn't help. dangerous to drive at night.

I was driving on east bound on m50 at night and i came to the lights of christmas display at hidden lake gardens a part of michigan state university. as i approached hidden lake gardens i turned left into the driveway to discover that i had driven into the exit instead of the entrance a few feet down the road. there was no accident, just a few words from those exiting as to my stupidity, which was really a fault of the poor illumination of my headlights on my cadillac. this car has the poorest quality low beams of any car i have ever owned in the last 40 years i could not use my high beams as i had traffic coming at me. cadillac maintains that the headlights are good, but the fact is they are inferior, they know it and will not spend the money to correct it. i understand that you have to remove the front of the car to replace the headlights. in addition as you look at the car, you would think that it has the "hid" lamps in it as they made it appear that it has. the fact is it has a filament light bulb that has very little power. i would like you to address this problem from experts in the lighting industry and force cadillac to correct the problem. only two models are affected the "base" and the "luxury" the "performance" and "premium" model of the same car have the xenon "hid" headlights which are very powerful.. *tr

The low beam headlights are very dim. they do not reach out like they should. dealer tells me that's the way they are, i do not feel they are safe!!! *tr

Headlights go dim to almost all the way off have changed bulbs twice, after a couple of weeks lights go dim again

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 cadillac srx. while driving approximately 45 mph with the headlights activated, the amber illumination became extremely dim which obstructed the visibility of the contact. the failure recurred whenever the contact would drive with headlights activated. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who was unable to provide assistance. the manufacturer was notified of the problem. the approximate failure mileage was 10,000. updated 07/05/12*lj the consumer stated the headlights lights were amber in color and didn't illuminate properly while driving at night. updated 07/10/12.

Headlights very low. can't see road at night . on coming vechicles honk their horn at you cause they think your lights are off. have to drive on high beams. keep having to replace bulbs.

The headlights - low beam - are the worst. i've been driving for over 40 years. when i complained to the dealership (crestview cadillac - west covina, ca) that they were so bad i believed it is dangerous to drive at night, they said they didn't get any complaints from other drivers! i have to use my high beams all the time to be safe. i have had passengers tell me i don't have my headlamps on!! it's a very real problem. i have found several complaint pages on line. i believe they should do a recall on these cars and fix the problem. if i go to after market, i'm afraid ill nullify my warranty. please help! *tr
