Noticed bubbling paint on drivers side near back tire...emailed salesman with no response. took car in for oil change, mentioned problem but paint had chipped off...took a picture to send to acura for their determination whether it was going to be repaired free of charge....asked again in septmeber...no answer yet...no phone call to date to let me know if covered or not. july 24 was driving when for no reason all warning lights came on with warning beep...called dealership. .. was on my way to the airport for vacation and scared to keep driving..was told just a fluke and it would probably re-set...in august.took car to dealership and warning lights came on enroute...still on when i arrived...again told it was just a fluke happened again while parked with engine running in late august but noticed it was also idling quite high for no reason...called dealership again right away...left a message with no return call..it again re-set itself....in september i was driving 35mph and all warning lights came on, lost power and steering...called dealership, they had me look at message center but it did not say any code....took to dealership..told them i had been reading on line that other owners had same issue with no results...he said acura was working on issue....nervous that it will happen while driving on expressway and i lose steering and power.....tired on hearing there is no code and no answer....very expensive car to have this type of issue with no fix...thank you *tr
Driver side passenger door is not locking properly, we have to use the force like a heavy truck door. it's not safe when kids are sitting inside. complained to acura and they say it's not a bug, that's how that door will work. 10 year daughter can not close the door on her own. every time driver has to use more force to close the door. *tr
Shortly after i purchased this vehicle in 2013, i noticed that their was a loud vibration coming from the front right driver's side near the wheel well when driving at speeds between 30 - 45 mph. this vibration would occur intermittently. when i took the vehicle back in to the acura dealership, it was stated that they could not duplicate the issue. two years later, the issue is still occurring and the dealership "can't duplicate". additionally, noticed that there was bubbling of the front grill chrome paint. later it became apparent that the left front passenger window panels were warped. didn't make too much of a fuss about either issue, but in the summer of 2015, while running my car through a car wash, the panel popped off and began flapping in the wind. returned vehicle to dealership and the window panel was replaced. at this time, i also informed them that the vehicle had begun to start exhibiting issues upon acceleration like it was struggling to gain power. you could also see the rpm indicator began to fluctuate when this issue occurred. this was also happening between 30-45 mph. dealer performed a diagnostic and said that they were unable to locate any issues. driving the vehicle does not feel safe. i am afraid that it will lose power while i am driving and cause an accident. i have owned multiple acuras and the quality of this vehicle is by far the worst of any vehicle that i have ever owned.
We recently purchased (6/25/14) an 2014 mdx acura. when the car is in motion (at any speed) and door locks are engaged in the lock position, the door handles open the doors. there is no way to prevent the passenger side door from opening if the inside handle is pulled while the car is in motion. i called the dealer, response was that is the design of the car, i contacted acura customer care spoke with [xxx] and was told the same, it's the design of the car to make it easy for the passenger and driver to exit the car. my concern is obvious and the customer care agent agreed, but there is no recourse. if the door handle is pulled while the car is in motion there could be catastrophic injury or accident. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr
