The ford mustang has always been a car model that comes with optional convertible models. Ford offers a convertible for the V6, the Mustang GT and even the Mustang Shelby GT500 model shown in the picture. Seeing that it isn’t an obligation to ride with the top down, yet you still have the option, I personally would choose to go with the convertible. One thing I do know is that with having a convertible you must take special care of the inside and outside of the material. The summer sun can also be hard on your convertible top. It may be wise to also set up a small monthly budget for a replacement top in case it ever gets torn or damaged.
Auto Tops Direct offers convertible tops for most sports cars and a nice selection of quality Ford Mustang convertible tops which also have (AWBS) Advanced Window Bonding System which fixes issues you may have with window separation and water leakage.
So overall if your up to the extra maintenance, and understand there may be more risk to driving a convertible, you may want to consider the option. It’s always best to take both models for a test drive and drive som
e of the time with the top down. Doing this will help you determine your own comfort level with a convertible model, especially if you are planning to drive with the top down often. The feeling may be a little different by the time you get behind the wheel.
